Nicky Ajose who has not been given a squad number by Leeds. He has been linked with us a couple of weeks ago.

 

I don't know if it is him, but I would welcome Ajose at Vale. I think he could be a really useful addition.

I would take Ajose all day and think it would be an excellent signing. I also think we should get Kenny in for the season if the budget allows and send Johnson out on loan.

The one area we don't have cover (as it looks like Campion will be somewhere else) is an out and out target man. I would guess its someone to play second fiddle to Uche as that is the obvious weakness in the squad. Foley is on a par with O'Connor for me so why bring someone in to be third choice as a midfield player, Dodds, Birchall and pairing Grant and Brown would also provide cover. O'Connor may even be fit for Saturday.

Same here. I always and repeatedly say it's not what players did or didn't do for other clubs it's what they can do for Vale that counts.

 

I just think it would be quite disheartening for those Crewe fans who continually bash Vale over everything and nothing if a Vale team full of former players beat them...

I still think we need another forward. Ikpeazu has potential but it's unfair to shove him in and make him our main man up top with his lack of experience. If Neal is likely to be out for a while then the signing of Kenny is an absolute must too.

So, I reckon it would be someone who is prepared to take on the remaining two years of his contract and at something like the rate that Leeds were paying him. Unless Norman is looking for a massive display of intent, I would suspect Ajose's wages may be beyond us.

Am I the only one who doesn't want another player yet? I think we should try what we've got and if then we realise we need a little something extra, then go and get something. I think our squad is way too big as it is and I'm not sure if some players will even get to play in the reserve games. Wouldn't it be better to have a little cash put by in case we need someone rather than spending it all now?
