Mayweather v Pacquiao

So, how do you think that's going to go?

I don't know many people that want Mayweather to win but at the same time think he will.

Both of them will win. It will probably be a points win and a close contest but let's face it, whatever happens both fighters are laughing all the way to the bank

It will be close to ensure a lucrative rematch - I saw an article that argued that boxing is a sporting version of male prostitution in which gutless nobodies pay to watch violence they would like to perform themselves, but are too cowardly - not sure I agree but an interesting viewpoint.

Do you not think honour and the bragging rights are important? They are both already very rich and they are both earning so much the 60/40 split is fairly inconsequential.

Murdoch on the other hand is ****ing himself

Pity this fight didn't take place two or three years ago. I anticipate Mayweather will win on points, he's the ultimate defensive boxer. Pacquiao has a chance with his left hand and speed but he needs to rough Mayweather up early on to stop him getting into his rhythm, easier said than done though.

Of the three fighters who have fought both men, all went for Mayweather to win.

$100 to watch on PPV here.

Mayweather for me..an event well worth the PPV payment

Of all the sports i so admire the bravery of boxers..to put themselves in that situation is truly amazing.

You ******?

I'd go in the ring for a tenth of what they're earning.

Signifies everything that's wrong with boxing, a 36 v a 38 year old and they bill this as the biggest boxing match this century. Should have happened 5-10 years ago but I guess the payout would not have been as big. Couldn't give a **** who wins.

As I said in a earlier post...both fighters are actually the winners...plenty of people get punched and smacked every day and don't receive a penny

I'm not too fussed who wins either, both are loaded and another mammoth payday for each.

But the overwhelming majority of boxers risk their health for far more mediocre rewards..which was my point really. Even these two guys started out risking their health for little reward. They still have to show immense courage to put themslves in such a situation.

I'm not getting into a class/ political argument with you Carl, but that attitude is appalling. Both of the fighters grew up in poverty and worked their backsides off to get where they are today. The fact that they are so successful and a marketed also provides for hundreds, if not thousands of staff and other connected workers
