Huge relief.

Page's tactics today were spot on, the result proves it. Page in, players want to play for him, he's made some good signings (Innes/Collins), kept us safe in the face of adversity (poor ref decisions/injuries to key players).

Yes, we're safe and it's a huge relief but Page and company have had nearly all season and taken us to within an inch of relegation where we were depending on other teams' results. If we take this management team into next season, we can all look forward to another roller coast season, flirting with relegation as we go. Time for a complete clear out.

Thanks Pope for the goal and thanks Neal for the save right at the end as usual. The result we needed but it was the same old negative subs that put us under pressure. Smurf get rid of the clowns tonight please.

You have spouted rubbish all afternoon give it a rest........ 3 points next week and we wont be far of the Messiahs league position last season

So what's the answer Yates? If he plays Yates he gets slated. He is on a lose lose situation. Fact is was meant be a simple header by Veselli and he made a mistake not Page, Willo or Dicko but Veselli

The answer is to replace him/get an actual right back. Did he do that? No. ****** hell it took him long enough to find Innis and then replace him

No they werent, did you miss his substitutions?

Christ poor ref decisions? You cant be serious?

Kept us safe? Bravo. We were 10th the other week!

Players want to play for him yeah, because theyre crap and would struggle get a contract at a similar level club.

PAGE OUT.

edit: Remember he played dodds out on the right again (not good there) and veseli at right back (not good there) we played the worst team in the league by a distance, I wouldve been fuming if we failed to win

Explain why the tactics and substitutions were wrong.....we won the game, proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Great feeling, as it was imperative that we stayed in League 1 next season with so many Midlands and North-West clubs in there. If the current bottom 4 stays the same (Crawley, Orient, Colchester, Yeovil) that will be ideal, with Burton and Shrewsbury coming up. Hopefully Bury will join them and Rotherham will drop instead of Millwall (although they blew a huge chance today against Derby).

Speak for yourself? the bottom 4 is terrible for me as they are closer to me.... looks like I wont be seeing vale that much next season now. :0(

What's your evidence for saying that playing Yates would have been worse? We'll never know - but it's too easy to blame a single player. What happened in the run up to the goal? What were his team mates doing to put him in this position? Who was covering for him? Even the mistake wouldn't have mattered if we'd been two up at the time. It's a team game.

Page will get better, when it came down to the crunch our destiny was in our hands. Chopping and changing the manager isn't the answer, so we change the manager and we're in the bottom 4 after 6 games next season, then what, we change the manager again....recipe for disaster.

Tactics regarding subs, as soon as the negative subs were made we conceded. Imagine the reaction on here if we didnt find that winning goal, the reason would have been the subs. I agree yeah we won but I still think he played two players in there weakest positions,

We were one up before the substitutions and we finished one up after the substitutions I don't get your logic. Yeovil didn't threaten any more than they did previous to the subs just one mistake by Veseli and suddenly its all Pages fault??
