Nightmare journey police turned us back from leek then a further three hours through wetley rocks stuck on Ashbank pushing other cars. It will be a day long remembered and not just for a fantastic Vale victory. let us hope all supporters including Sheffield made it home safe and sound.

Nearly two hours to get back to Planet Tean. Failed up Ash Bank so went back up Viccy Road through Longton onto the 50. Followed one gritter into Longton who then decided to turn up some non descript road rather than go into the middle of Longton. Genius.

The Met Office issued a yellow warning which suggested a 90% chance of snow falling in the North Midlands yesterday.

It's hard to see how the person in charge of gritting could fail really......surely their only choice is to grit or not to grit!!

The whole of the D road and most of the M6 back to Brum was ungritted.

It took me 30 minutes to actually get from the car park to the Town Hall. Then went the "wrong" way up to Tunstall and it took me 25 minutes from there to Oakhill. Quite lucky compared to what a lot of folk seem to have suffered.

One thing that annoys me every game though is the lack of any police control at the car park exits. And there always used to be a copper controlling the junction of Hamil Road and Moorland Road but as usual, there were loads of coppers standing around yesterday but no one doing anything to control the traffic. Yesterday was exceptional, I know, but it was made worse by the lack of any control at the junctions.

Thats total incompetence.

Be interesting to hear what feeble excuse they come up with.(Saving the grit/salt till the bad weather arrives.Wrong type of snow)

My daughter and husband took over 3 hours to get to Cheddleton in a 4 x 4. I was having a lift with elderly friends and as soon as I saw the conditions on High Lane I knew we had little chance of getting over Kingsley Moor so dropped down to the A500 and managed to get the last two rooms at the Holiday Inn by the Brit for the night.

The barman asked me if I wanted a drink, took one look at the fizzy ***** on sale, and asked had any decent ale like Titanic? He just said 'do you really expect us to sell Burslem beer here?' - fair point I thought.

Totally agree about the coppers. It was murder trying to get off the carpark and it was causing chaos up and down the Hamil. It took us one hour and twenty mins to get to Scotia Road.
