Michael O' Connor on Trial

It is obvious that the budget has been blown on Adams salary and the first few players we signed, what I dont understand is.....Why was O Connor on trial? Did Adams not know his capabilities? Did Adams not know the ball park figure to secure his signature? I drive past Bentley regularly and I would love one but I would'nt ask for a test drive without having the money to pay for one.

 

Seems typical amateurish Port Vale behaviour to me, should have all been conducted in private.

I couldn't agree more, it is commercial suicide there is absolutely nothing going on at the club aside from the odd special guest dinner speaker i.e. paul merson. we need to get car boots going on the car park weekly and better use tommys as a weekend rock night venue etc to pull the coin in. you only have to look at clubs in Wolverhampton or bilston ( robin.co.uk ) to see how to make a rock club successful and the one thing stoke on trent is missing is a decent classic rock venue but then again im biased ;)

 

At last folk on my level. Much much more as well. It's too easy to blame the fans. Our commercial, retail and hospitality should generate more than gate receipts by far. Rock night fri or sat indie night tribute bands with meal for the 60s set. We have nothing why because smurf thinks it's all about season ticket sales.

I just don't understand the reason for a trial or to see him play is there a doubt about his ability? is / was Adams playing games with Smurf? He must know how much money is available in the budget its all pathetic
