I must confess that I find the suggestion in that interview that our police bill will be "several hundred thousand pounds more" than originally planned rather far fetched.

 

Several hundred thousand pounds does sound a lot but that may include extra stewarding, there certainly seemed an awful lot of police and stewards outside the Hamil End yesterday post-match!

I expect NS may be using this as an excuse not to finish the Lorne Street, however it may not be a bad thing if funds are redistributed towards the playing budget come January?

I cant see how a very small number of people singing one racist chant necessitates the several 100k hike in police costs, even the wolves game there was only 4 arrests inside the ground.

Maybe the worst case scenario? If games are trouble free, there will be a case for lowering the police category, on the basis that the Bradford City/Wolves trouble makers have been sorted. It also makes the case for categorisation of admission prices, large away crowds then contribute towards the policing costs.

Given that somebody came up to me at the start of Saturday's game and asked me if I'd heard the rumour, I suspect you can't blame it all on the OVF.

 

But as soon as somebody else's rumour gets repeated on OVF, it does become a convenient scapegoat.

 

You cant blame any of it on OVF... rumours dont post themselves, people do it, and people like to gossip... OVF does become the easy target though.

I would ignore them completely as they seem to be idiots of the highest order intent on seeking limelight and winding people up.

Caroline actually said her source would be sacked if his/her details were released, nothing less than that culprit would deserve.

Robf has spoken to NS & the Smurf has given his response to OVF. Our Chairman is not hiding, he is not talking riddles and he is not hiding behind a "username."

 

So come on "truevalefan3" I challenge you to match our Chairman. Be open and honest with us. You've been on here causing all kinds of trouble with your rumours - none of which you can prove. I challenge you to contact robf and give him your side of the story. Reveal your true identity & that of your source (in confidence to Rob of course) and let Rob report to us, as he did with Norman, the contents of your discussion. If you stand by your rumours & your source is reliable then you should have no trouble talking at length with Rob, who I think we all agree has always shown himself to be a man of integrity. So I'm sure you should feel confident to trust him.

 

At the moment our Chairman has shown you to be a deluded liar. Surely you want to show all on OVF that it is you who know all the facts & that you know them to be true.

 

Somehow I doubt that you will accept my challenge.............. will you?
