Im convinced Calvin Andrew will get 12 months.

If MA thinks he can benefit from keeping Andrew, then so be it. He is a football manager of massive experience, we are not.

I would be very disappointed if we let WIlliamson leave though, he has chipped in a fair few goals for the number of games played (or minutes on pitch) and gives us pace and something different.

Regrettably I'd let Dodds go, but I really feel it would be for his own benefit too.

I wouldn't let all the CBs go- if McDonald goes then keep at least one of Purse and Chilvers.

Morsy is difficult - much will depend on how Micky sees his attitude and I suspect he may let him go.

Keep K James, good prospect, and move heaven and earth to keep Dan Jones even if it meant letting Hughes go to find the money.

What I would do and what Adams will do are two different processes based upon his previous decisions.

 

I would release Purse, McDonald, Chilvers, Morsy, Dodds and Andrew. Shuker, McCoombe and Taylor would be made available for transfer as they have 2-year deals. I would offer a 12 month deal to Johnson, Yates, James Williamson and Hughes. I would offer 2-year deals to Jones and Loft and be looking to extend Chris Neal's contract by another year.

 

What Adams will do I have no idea because he is difficult to read and very loyal to his players. I suspect that many will stay with possibly only Purse, McDonald and Morsy let go.

I have no idea who will stay and who will go, but thankfully that's not my decision and I will not comment on who I would keep or let go. Rather allow MA to do his job, thus far he hasn't been too far wrong, obviously the decisions have pretty much already been made by now so I'm happy to wait and see what tomorrow brings.

 

One thing I would like to see - a couple of big name signings to help bolster ticket sales and building of the buzz.

Mcdonald, Purse, Mccombe, Taylor and Andrew i reckon should go.

 

I understand why people are saying Chilvers should go and probably will as Mccombe is under contract but he is a much more intelligent player than Mccombe and despite the lack of pace, he often makes it up with his standing tackle ability. In my opinion, he is overall simply better than Mccombe. Would be sad to see him go yes but if i was MA that would be my choice...

 

As for the rest, they simply arent good enough. Apparently Purse has a 1 year extension but no way will he be playing next season if we are to bring in the 2 centre backs we desperately need! His wages are probably high as well so id get him of the books personally. Taylor at best is mid table league 2 and probably the same for Mcdonald and Andrew.

 

I suspect Morsy will go as well but too much potential to just throw away for me. Shuker to be kept as a handy squad player as his set pieces are top quality.

 

Will certainly be intresting to see who goes anyway and im sure whatever decisions Micky makes, they are the best for the club.

How come some of you lot are keen to get rid of players under contract? Unless the club pay the likes of Taylor or Shuker or they are offered terms elsewhere they are perfectly entitled to sit on the bench all season and draw a wage.

McDonald was decent at start of season, loaned out to Bristol Rovers to accommodate more experience CB's to get us over the finish line and Bristol Rovers coincidently improved significantly while he was playing reguraly there.

 

He didn't start a game for Bristol until April. He made four starts in total and Bristol won one of them. McDonald had some decent games for us early season but what you've written above is just rubbish.
