Calm down. Where did I mention us not going out to win? I hope we do stuff them but they are a good side who are difficult to beat and as stated we haven't beat them since we came down. A point would be a good result as long as it is followed up with a win at Chesterfield which I think we will get.

Calm down? I was simply saying that I think we should go for the win and not be happy with a point today. You did suggest that as well by saying we should avoid defeat at all costs. The stats aren't in our favour but are there to be broken. 2-1 vale. JMW and pope.

Well it is squeaky bum time for us and our home form. Three key games + Aldershot to play. 10 points from 12 and irrespective of away form, we will be promoted.

The games against Cheltenham, Burton & Northampton are the key to our season now that the 10 point gap we once had has gone; primarily due to our home league form in the prior 4 games.

For most home sides in League 2 (and that includes us) its all about 1st half tempo and whether we get that early goal. Against the better teams, on the whole we have not managed that. IMO this has been down to being too negative in the 1st half which is not what you need when on the whole we are set up to attack with a 4-2-4 system. Most of the top teams have now fathomed out how to play us at Vale Park so I hope Adams let's the team off the leash straight from the start or he has a Plan B otherwise it will be a real struggle.

So fingers and toes crossed for us to score first and in the first half. If so, just watch the change in the side and I believe we could go on to win 2 or 3. However if we concede first, the side loses complete confidence to get back in the game and that is why the better sides have exposed us at home. If that happens, I fear the worse today.

Adams' Plan B Is To Stay With Plan A.

In reality we are two points clear of Cheltenham with a game in hand and a superior goal difference, so they have to beat us we don't really need to beat them. They have to come at us which will suit us at home I'm confident we won't get beat today

Wrong. We do need to beat them or else the rest of the pack catch up with us. 3 draws in the big 3 home games will finish us off as promotion hopefuls, We need to get at very least 1 win and 2 draws.
