Hi Tosh,

 

Not at the moment. When I was talking to Pete lately he was of the opinion that when people see the statue then many more will want to have their names associated with it.

 

Excellent, I want one but can't afford at the mo, good Chrinbo present though..

Does anyone know who the oldest fan who still attends.

 

I passed on me dad's details who's 86, to Pete a while back. We sit in the Railway Paddock and i've not seen anyone older in there.

 

I understand that Pete has been unwell. Would anyone be able to let me know if there is someone older who's been asked to unveil the statue?

The above quote and his actions to prove the quote make the man a legend... in my opinion

 

Legends dont have to be famous or recognised by everyone to become legends..... William Tell is a legend... but who had heard of him before the television series [many years ago] and how many are now saying... Tell?.... who did he play for?

 

His dedication to one club [Port Vale] is legendary and well documented, one which will not be beaten.

 

The fact that stoke wanted him but Vale got him just adds a smile to the legend of the man for Vale supporters
