Ceremony is 1:45, I think it was 1:30 but they're starting later so York's team bus doesn't disrupt anything

Had some great memories of Roy. One of my best was the FA Cup tie in the 1969-70 promotion season when we played Wigan Athletic who were then in the northern premier. We drew 1-1 at their place, then played the replay at Vale Park. I thought we'd definitely win but they were so hard to beat. In the end, it took a great headed goal by Roy in extra time at the Hamil End, to get us a 2-2 draw, right in front of the Vale fans who had walked round at half time. The replay was equally epic going into extra time at Old Trafford (first and only time I've been there!) when a John James goal in the 118th minute settled the tie.

 

Fantastic never say die player who fully deserves to be remembered - hope all goes well today.

Radio Stoke are there, but think it's more important that we hear Lee Blakeman and Mick Cullerton, rather than the pre-unveiling speeches. Then back to the studio for more music, rather than letting us hear the speeches.
