Doncaster are playing well very difficult game for vale as they are fighting for there lives. Great result today for vale but little to late I feel. To have any chance we need to win the next 5 games and that just ain't happening we have to many players who are just not consistent or good enough for league one football I'm  afraid. Sone of our defending in the week was a disgrace a game we should have won and the Bradford home game we were dire. We deserve to go down no question. Still I will enjoy my weekend now and have a few drinks tonite. UTV

Stop ruining my dreams with that pesky reality nonsense!

I thought Blackpool had much more quality than Bolton. Good result and credit to the team that they continue to put in the effort. More of the same on Tuesday night. Connor Hall was outstanding. George Hall showed some end product. The big plus in recent games for me has been Walters. Before he's looked good at times when the ball has been running for him. He's now much more consistently involved in games.

As a season horribly reminiscent of 83/84. At least post Christmas in both seasons there has been progress. Maybe we will avoid the ignominy of finishing rock bottom.

And like 83-84 if we win a few more games it won't have any bearing on the next season where we finished mid table after a strong finish. That I'm afraid is how football works.

Really pleased with that result. They didn’t trouble us much. Fantastic assist for the goal. Keep it going Vale.

Good battling performance,  more like that and what will be will be but if we go down, go down fighting.

From the Bolton forum. Imagine how butt hurt this fella is feeling right now. Proper ruined his Saturday night. 🤣

Tell em they are the first team we've beaten at home in the league  this season who had 11 players on the pitch all match !  Also I think it is the first time we've beaten Bolton at Home in the league since Noah was a lad .

Possibly the best performance all season.
To a man they were all 8 out of 10 minimum.

Connor Hall. 10 out of 10.
His best game in a Vale shirt.

Immense.

Connor was mercurial. Lost absolutely nowt against tgeir attackers. At the end he was completely drained. However a few beers in the Vale communal bath will revive him for Tuesday. The other Hall wasnt too bad either! To a man they played theur hearts out. It was magic to my ears at the end when their fans were absolutely panning their own team and manager. Vale today proved what team work/ togetherness can achieve. Future a bit briggter over Boslem tonight.

That game has set the standard for the rest of the season - if we go down we go down but if we play like that each match I will be happy.

Honestly, if we play like that every game then we have a chance.  The issue is that these performances have been a little too few and far between this season.  Even when we've played well we have had a tendency to throw points away.

I do hope the Brady sceptics are being won over. This is the man to take us forward. The team is going to prove to not be good enough this season but he has made us exponentially better than we were under Moore.

For a start everyone seems to understand their job which they didn’t before.

Great performance, only criticism is that we were wasteful and should’ve scored more. C Hall was my MOTM. Just a shame we couldn’t have held on against Blackpool now. Thought Bolton were rubbish, by far the worst of any of the promotion contenders I’ve seen.

Think they should’ve had a free kick and a straight red for C Hall, looks like he accidentally stepped on their forwards ankle when he was through, and he was clean though on goal. So got away with one there.

Having said that also thought we were denied a clear penalty when Waine was pulled back after he kept the ball in play.

Bit concerned with Waine. He looked knackered when he came on compared to how he usually is (he did well, just think he looked tired). Could do with New Zealand not giving him many minutes. All those minutes in the cup games has finally caught up to him.
