Are they expecting a Pizza cup game size attendance ?

I think they are going to try get it to penalties and win 3 points that way

How is it that for the second time in recent weeks, we are the ONLY match postponed in League One? Just as last time, there was indeed some horrendous weather (frost previously, now rain) across the country, but why is Vale Park so disproportionately affected.  I don't wish to be churlish in blaming the ground staff alone, but something is not quite right if we're the only club at this level to have facilities/pitch/personnel not up to the standard required.

Probably due to a light rain shower affecting st6 later on in the evening so best to be prepared.  😁

Announced as 7pm by AFC Wimbledon too. Do Hancock and co not want fans to attend?

Its genius for me... we play like Brazil in the Vertu so kick off 7pm... no one there... the players mentally will think its a Vertu game and put in a top performance!

The only thing I can possibly think it might be is it’s to give their fans attending a chance to get the last couple of trains home from Stoke to Euston.

More likely will affect home fans who will struggle to get there for a 7pm kickoff if they work so will give it a miss and watch on TV

Most Vale fans would be home in plenty of time for the kick off, if they are shift workers probably would not make 7.45pm either

Am I right in saying we have a cover/covers for the pitch? So if the things were being used then the rain wouldn’t have got to the pitch? Are they as damaged as the playing squad? Can nobody be arsed to put them on? Do we even have a full time groundsman anymore? Is anyone capable at this club in any department?

Just been on the field with my dog and when we got back hardly had to dry his paws.

Maybe they didn’t want it played. But there will come a point when people will just stop buying tickets. First we lose every week and now people are throwing money away to not even be go!

Or now…… here’s a thought…… Carols master plan is to keep postponing fixtures so the season can never end and we can not be relegated! I like it. Out of the box thinking!!

In time there will be a book written about this shambolic 150th season.

At least it gives the moaners another subject!!

Agree with you.

Serious questions need to be asked about the playing surface and drainage considering all the money which was invested only a short time ago.

Embarrassing to be the only club postponed again at L1.

So looking at it fully:

We’ve now only got 4 free Tuesdays left, 2 of those last two weeks of the season (excluding the week up to and after the Easter fixtures as they are playing Friday/Monday).

We still have to fit in Doncaster Away

There is a 50% chance our game away at Stockport gets postponed as one of the two of us is guaranteed to spot in the Vertu semi finals.

Victory over Stockport loses another Tuesday to fit the Semi Final in.

Victory over Bristol City (unlikely but these useless bunch have won at Birmingham this season so not impossible) Peterborough Away gets postponed.

International weekend may see Wycombe get postponed.

That also factors in that we are still in January and our pitch is struggling at the moment so a chance further games may fall like today.

Could be like 2001 all over again when we played 6 games in 10 days at the end of the season… Thursday/Saturday/Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday.
