  1. Exactly. Anyone would think she'd stood up in front of a room of supporters and told them our '3 wins in 29 games' squad of jokers are "phenomenal".
  2. 'Struggles' suggests some kind of fight or valiant effort. On that basis, this squad struggles to even struggle.
  3. The first and only thing that should be on the club's league two preparation list is giving Flitcroft his P45. Everything else is irrelevant until that's happened.
  4. Reading between the lines, the fans told Carol they want Flitcroft held accountable for the last 14 months of failure on the pitch, and she said no. It's hard to feel all that enthused about the meeting if the end result is the root cause of our ongoing malaise remains in post. It's also not like the fans haven't been getting behind the players already. There's only so much encouragement that can be given when we're playing as we are, with three league wins in nearly six months.
  5. No competitive interview process either. Again.
  6. And don't stop until you're far away from Burslem.
  7. So far above our level, if Loft hadn't missed his big chance, we'd have been 3-0 up against them. Whereas we never laid a glove on Middlesbrough. Fleetwood have only managed two league wins in three and a half months, one of which was against us, yet they've managed to put five goals past us in 180 minutes. They've also conceded the most goals in League 1 but, rather than trying to further exploit that weakness in the second half, we just sat back, invited them onto us and inevitably capitulated.
  8. We'd have been better going down to ten or bringing on Carol than Loft coming off the bench.
  9. It's a farce at this point. The evidence could hardly be any starker but Carol is in a parallel universe where every target has been met and the recruitment has been phenomenal.
  10. How does Carol look at that lineup tonight and not see Flitcroft's abject failure?
  11. Whether DM is a success or failure, time will tell. However, yet again, we didn't interview anyone else for the role. So that's a Director of Football appointed without a competitive application process. A manager in Crosby appointed without a competitive application process. And now another managerial appointment with an interview shortlist of one. It hardly seems a failsafe approach to getting the best candidate for the job.
  12. Shame we play Derby ourselves next weekend while Charlton, fresh from draws with Bolton and Portsmouth, have a fixture run consisting of Northampton, Cheltenham, Carlisle and Fleetwood.
  13. Charlton have Derby next but then play Northampton, Cheltenham, Carlisle and Fleetwood in their following four matches. Cheltenham play Wycombe, Burton and Charlton in their next three. Surely only a matter of time before we're well and truly adrift.
  14. It's in the video of Carol after the game today. It's on page 44 of this thread She says the players are "phenomenal" and "we'll be fine".
  15. 31 defeats in 54 games and Carol thinks the players are "phenomenal". It's actually quite scary how clueless and deluded she is.
