Match Thread: Port Vale v Fleetwood (FAC)

I have a Season Audio Pass for 2025/26 season.  This doesn't cover FA Cup matches.  I purchased a Match Audio Pass for £3 to listen to the Bristol Rovers match.  No such option seems to be available for tonight's match.  Is this because it is being streamed live on Discovery +?  It only leaves one option - a £30.99 monthly subscription to Discovery +.  I don't have a dodgy stick or a VPN.

I'm the same and it looks like you need to pay for TNT which is £30 odd quid.

I've just looked and the game Is on radio Stoke tonight

Financially, this has to be one of the worst deals for a fan who can't attend.

Will a single Vale or Fleetwood fan pay £30.99 for one game?

Absolute nonsense.

It’s an absolute no brainer for anyone tonight, just buy your cheap ticket and watch the first half in The Vine, then, when we’re 3-0 up at halftime, playing scintillating football, stroll up Hamil Road to the ground for the second half.  Winner.👍🏻

Thanks for that.  Living out of the area I can only get Radio Stoke via BBC Sounds and get the usual message "this program is not available for contractual reasons". That's why I've taken out a Season Audio Subscription with the club. However, I'd forgotten that its Friday not Saturday - so will probably to get it on BBC Sounds.  Thanks again for the advice. Much appreciated.

Yeah it's on TNT Sports 7 ( free on a dodgy F/S)
Boring question, sorry. But as a season ticket holder I dont usually go on site for a home ticket. Can we pay on the night at tge turnstile by card or do we have to visit club shop? Cheers in advance. UTV.

Club shop.

The FA Cup coverage for UK-based fans out of the area is confusing as the rules are unique to the FA Cup competition now...

Audio

All BBC local radio commentary for FA Cup games is broadcast for free online (so the opposite of the League games where the online coverage stops a few minutes before kick-off). So, if you're not able to get to the game you should be able to listen via the BBC. It will be on this page - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live/bbc_radio_stoke

Stream

The coverage is split between the BBC and TNT Sports. Unfortunately in these commercial days it will cost a bit to watch it if you don't have a TNT Sports subscription already. Unlike Sky Sports/Now TV there is no day pass so the only option is a £30-odd monthly pass. This is probably no consolation to those who don't have one but if you took up TNT Sports to watch the Ashes this game just falls neatly into that monthly subscription before you cancel it - so for me it worked out well - but I can understand those of you who just want to watch the game as a one-off. Unfortunately, that's the way of the world in these commercial times - TNT bought the rights for the FA Cup precisely so they could get people to pay and sign-up to their service!

Please if anyone wants to add to that and/or correct anything I may have got wrong, please feel free to do so.

Well, it's a new year, and let's hope we see a Brady bunch new years revolution. Can't begin to explain the thorough mind numbingly boring dross we have sat through for the last 2 years.  Fingers crossed for a system setup similar to the 2nd half of Blackpool. In fairness to JB he has referenced the Blackpool performance numerous times in his media outings, so hopefully it's all systems go. Have a great night all you attending and let's get a biggun next round 👍👍

You can watch it live at vale park😛

Not if you have a prior commitment to pick your daughter up from an activity in Taunton at 6.30pm. Unless someone has a spare jet to fly me there? Some of us genuinely can't get to Vale Park for valid reasons you know... :classic_tongue: :classic_tongue:

I shelled out the £30.99 for Discovery+ as wanted to see this game. I’m down in Suffolk so it’s cheaper than a tank of petrol and the 7 hour round trip.

Hope we perform well and warm up the hardy crowd!

Also hope that Curtis isn’t off elsewhere and plays tonight. I like him and don’t think we’ve got the best out of him and he’s relatively young.

It will cost me around £30 to go and watch, two tickets and a 50+ mile round trip by car. If I couldn't go it would be worth £30.99 to watch the game on TV, plus whatever else I could watch during the month.
