Sorry, not sure if that was a game of Moore bingo. Point is, we’d win and it would be a reason to keep him in charge. (Being facetious).

Someone yesterday recommended having a look on there, so I did. My god, it makes OVF look like a Mensa meeting.

I worked in Blackpool for 12 months in 2005. Burslem is posh compared to some parts. Depressing shithole

If the red card is overturned Blackpool fans have said that they want a replay with a different set of officials.

Saw on one of their blogs that the referee shouldn’t have officiated the game as he was from Preston !!!!

It's no different to the referee that we had in the Salford game last season who was from Manchester and who suppposedly has family members who are Salford fans. That being said it is interesting that we haven't had that referee since so I presume we may have filed a complaint against him last season and said to the EFL that we didn't want him refereeing any more Vale games.

Can teams do that ?

Nothing changed until we went four at the back and in my opinion continuing with the same tactics that got us rooted to the bottom using the excuse that it suits the players we have is nonsense, if it suited the players we have we wouldn't be bottom. Wing backs haven't worked its time to change it.

KS, Something did change before Vale changed personnel at HT and that change was Blackpew went down to 10 men, that change made a big difference to the game. The sending off made it logical to change to a more attacking line up which Smith did asap. Whether it was 3 at the back or 4 is a matter of debate, it was so flexible.

It isn't the tactics that have got us rooted to the bottom, it's all the missed chances. Give Smith his due he's trying to rectify that by playing Stockley and Cole together. It's also a problem that most of the wing backs have been injured and haven't played much this season.

Whether by luck or judgement, Smith's  approach and management of the Blackpew game was spot one.

I don't think that you can insist, but you might be able to ask.

A team can file official complaints after the match for serious issues like bias or conflict of interest so I imagine we might have said something to the EFL/FA after the Salford game when he wrongly sent off Ronan and raised the issue about him being from Manchester and his family members being "supposed" Salford fans. So, whilst I don't know if teams can do this it looks like he might have got promoted this season as he has only refereed 1 L2 game this season whilst the rest have all been in the Championship.

I can’t believe anyone is daft enough to think that should happen. It would be funny though if we replayed it and won 6-0!

Does anyone remember the liner at Fleetwood away who flagged for a penalty for them but it turned out he also taught at a school round the corner from the ground?

I think it was the same game when Jordan Slew got sent off.

I’ve heard Sunday’s  referee is from Sheffield.
