I thought it was a red.

It was obvious by the amount of yellows the ref was flashing around that a red card was highly possible for either side. The  Blackpool player gave the ref a decision to make.

Nowhere near the only one I am certain it was a red and anyone who has read the rules will, at the very least, understand why it was given. The defenders lunge was not under control and he endangered his opponent. Red for the same reason we lost the appeal against the red byers got.

I thought it was a red and watching it several times on the TV hasn’t persuaded me otherwise, however I’m no expert.

He was the sort of referee who thinks the whole purpose of the game was to showcase his talents,

To be fair those freeze frames make it look far more of a red than the video!

Agree, for me his left foot goes over the ball, in fact the only contact he makes with the ball is after that, the fact that no one can give a definite answer  even after watching replays and seeing freeze frames probably condones the refs decision

I watched Ref watch on Sky this morning and they reviewed the sending off at Vale yesterday and they unanimously agreed that it was a red. Argument over.

The more I watch it the more I think its a red. If he wins the ball that ball ends up going forwards not tucked up underneath them both.

I thought it reckless at the time and not surprised to see the red card come out. The videos have only confirmed it for me, so correct decision by an otherwise very poor referee.

As you say, he doesn't actually get the ball with his foot, he kind of lands on it with his leg and that's how 'wins' it, and it gets stuck under him. Admittedly his foot doesn't go through Croasdale, that was his other leg, but his leading leg was high, studs up and he wasn't in control. Fair enough.

It’s only people romanticising about players getting yellows for breaking legs and ligaments why people think this isn’t a red.

Also the brain dead idea that ‘getting the ball’, means any tackle is fair game. It isn’t.

Ref watch was covered by Dermot Gallagher and Jay Bothroyd who both looked at George's red card against Burton earlier on the season and they both unanimously agreed that his wasn't a red, but in this case as you have mentioned they have both unanimously agreed that Husband's tackle was a red card. So, I think it's fair to say that Husband's tackle was a sending off and that the referee made the correct decision but George's tackle against Burton wasn't a sending off and the referee made the wrong decision.

it was a feckin red !!! whats wrong with it ?? jesus !! byers red was less than than that !!! clueless clowns !!! we got one going for us for a change !!! celebrate it !! If the red card is overturned Blackpool fans have said that they want a replay with a different set of officials.

Can we replay the Bromley game from last season when the ball was over the line?

And have the three points for the QPR game that ended 4-4 as Tony Naylor's <ovf censored> would have made it 5-0 and was clearly in?
