It was the Walters sub where I decided. He was our only good player. Garrity staying on was an atrocity.

He unfortunately has gone off the deep end and the players have gone with him. It’s time for a change.

He's done his job and if he went tonight I’d largely have decent things to say about him.

We just need to go and look at someone like Paul Cook or to start doing sensible things like playing good players in their right positions.

Well I've been in the Moore in fanclub 🫣,but after the last few games I'm afraid his time has come to go, he's lost the dressing room imo,he doesn't have a plan B when we go behind,new ideas are needed and we shouldn't leave it to late to find another manager to take over, I feel sorry for carol but I'm afraid it's time to get the hatchet 🪓 out and get rid asap.... UTV, VTID.

I'm not sure where I am yet on the manager question, but not happy with that today at all.

NW9V, with all respect, I really wouldn't.

We have had some dreadful managers over the many years I've been supporting Vale, and I have seen them clearly for their lack of abilities.

Darren Moore is a good manager, and a thoroughly decent person, exactly the sort of manager I want in charge of our club.

I have every confidence in Darren to turn this round.

And I hope that plenty of other Vale fans share that positive perspective, because in my view Darren Moore as our manager is what we have for the foreseeable future, so we simply have to make it work.

Good players in their right positions - outrageous!!

I know you’re optimistic and positive. But I just don’t see how you can’t justify backing Moore. I really don’t see how we could be any worse.

Perhaps take the time to read the post to which I was replying, rather than just posting a complete non sequitur.

Obviously being supporters we are passionate and emotional. However, in order to make correct decisions you need to put emotion to one side.

Football like any professional sport is a results based business. If you look at Moore's results in L1 they are absolutely horrific, 5 wins in 34 games. Also, managers get the best out of their players by putting square pegs in square holes, not square pegs in round holes. Moore seems addicted to the latter option. Good managers have a simple plan and philosophy that invariably means trying to win as opposed to trying not to lose. Good managers have a group of players who are totally on board with the game plan. Most Vale players now look like they would rather be anywhere other than on the pitch in a Vale strip 

All in all Moore fails to measure up on any meaningful metric and quite clearly has to go.

we always lose any control we had in midfield when byers goes off every other player in there wins the ball then gives it away again or wins the ball and smashes a hopeful long ball up to nobody. I agree he hasn't been quite as good as advertised but we miss him when he isn't there. I think loyalty to gazza could cost dm his job instead of doing what was needed bringing hall on for gazza he moves gazza to byers position, one we know he can't play, just to keep him on the pitch. I'm not too sure yet but leaning towards time's up. I've always tolerated Moore rather than been a fan, but at some point you need some conviction and make hard choices. 

As it stands, I predict we beat Fleetwood, Bristol Rovers in the cup and struggle in the league in the meantime. 

Because that's where we are trending. We need to change something and I don't mean the majority of the first 11 every game.

Aye. Show Moore the same ruthlessness he showed Smudger, Carol. Get him gone.

The recruitment team/head as well, because that has been garbage. Recruitment has probably been Moore's greatest strength as well, so that speaks to how dire we've been in that department when it's come to finding something other than well established, well paid players who have played for Moore in the past.

All the feel good factor is being slowly sucked out of the Club and it is clear no one is capable of stopping the rot. Vale have no tactics, no leaders, no creativity, no pattern. As fans we are kidding ourselves if we honestly believe we will change. Players (including many of them not good enough for Division 1 ) appear now to be showing signs of not caring. Whether that is they do not respect the Manager or they are mystified at team selections every game, we will never know. However if Carol wants to retain the support that has grown for the Club then serious difficult decisions need to be taken, now. A gap is appearing that will widen if we are to be subjected any longer to insipid, boring, clueless displays. Ask any Valiant and you will get an overwhelming response that we want to see our Team making an effort from the 1st minute onwards. We can tolerate defeats but not regular ones when we roll over and get our bellies tickled, even before a ball is kicked!  I am generally a placid fan with hope for my Club but right now I have had enough.
