I very much doubt anything of this has anything to do with Sir John as joint club president. If we are blaming club presidents, what the hell was President Robbie done?

Waine and Marosi were first team signings. 

Shipley was as well and played the first match. And I think Faal was intended to be as well until it was clear how poor he was.

And I don't think we have enough to stay up even when he's gone. There's a gulf between league one and league two and the players we've brought in this season are no better than the ones weve lost. 

 

Said it many times. we have a huge squad, mainly div 2 standard but no balance to the squad what so ever and can only play to D Ms one and only style of play.

Well, for one, I'm here.

And I say give him more than one season, because this is a long-term project.

Once again, the challenge this season is simply to consolidate in this division - achieve that, and this season is a success.

And we will not be playing a Championship-budget team every week.

 

Could write a novel about how bad today is.

The bottom line is it looks like he’s lost the players and there is only one way that ends.

The best chance we've got of winning the next two home games is to get rid of this clown and get a proper manager in. We need someone with courage, man-management skills, personality and tactical awareness. 

I was 99%sure we'd lose today, but the manner of the defeat makes my p boil!

It looks to me like DM has lost several senior players. Ojo, Stockley and Croasdale spring to mind. 

Bolton are a fellow League 1 club who were nothing to fear, but we've rolled over. Very little confidence, fight, desire, determination, passion, a sad reflection of our "nice" manager. I don't dislike DM, but I hate Vale losing, and we lose most weeks in League 1 with him as the manager.

Time for a change! 

Plenty of games left this season if we bring a better manager in this month.

Not blaming him for anything, im just saying i imagine he will be the one providing Carol with advice

Moore out. Get him gone tonight. Seems a lovely bloke but he’s a <ovf censored> manager. 
Don’t see any positives. No goals in 3 league games. 0 points. 
Gave up after the first goal. 
Mental team selection. Numerous changes again. 
Cole completely isolated. 
Makes changes at half time to compensate. AGAIN. plays players out of position. 
 

4-0 has flattered us there. To me this looks a side destined to league 2 with the current manager. He’s got to go as soon as possible and give a new manager some time to turn it around. 

I need to resist the urge to post again. I claim not to care but I'm following along and venting my frustration every week. I'm logging out again.

His tactics are dreadful - wants to play for the last 20 mins every week. His rotation policy is dire - play your best players. Players who have a good game are out of the squad the next week. What does Paton need to do to get a run of games?? Why are we insisting on playing players totally out of position. The transfer window this summer was awful and resulted in us having sign a player to replace the one he just signed. Goalkeeper dire, Waine not a football league player. Rico Richards wasn't consistently good enough in league two and was sent out on loan to a club who tactically don't play his position. His in game subs are woeful. His interviews are pathetic. 

He did a job getting us up last season despite playing dreadful football for most of it. We snuck in in the last 10 games or so when he finally realised to play the right players in the right games and settling his team - then first game of this season he goes back to what didn't work before - only to have to revert back at half time when the game was over. 

It's dreadful, it's boring, and it's killing my interest in port vale and football I general. 

I really don't think it's much to ask for to have a team I care about. I don't care if we win loose or draw as long as we try. The last player who really cares about playing for the club was Nathan Smith - bombed out because he 'wasn't good enough' pathetic. I'm done. I'll be back when he's gone.
