How does last season have any bearing on what's going on now,has any one told you that you don't get a 10 point start just because you've gone up its about here and now

A dreadful transfer window thats left us with a massively bloated squad full of players that didnt improve our first 11. Had to have a second round of signings because he made such a mess of it with the likes of Shipley, Waine, Rico etc. So cant blame carol here. But also tactically awful. Awful random selections, players out of position, refusing to change. No plan b. No in game management apart from the odd Hail Mary. We got promoted because we had better players. This season we need more than that, and Moore doesnt have it. 

Powderpuff. Weak. Zero quality. Trouble ahead.

Feel for some of the players who have turned in real good performances and showed spirt.  They have a great game and know that the next game they are on the bench or not even in the match squad.  Phil and Yates have said the squad is too big. 

Is it all on DM or have the players downed tools? Buck stops with DM obviously but it does annoy the hell out of me that players can seemingly do this and continue to pick up their wage to the end of their contracts

Hall, Curtis and Paton have just seen a left back start in place of them. 
Hall comes on, moved to RWB 

Cole stuck up top alone and isolated all game. 
Walters, Ojo etc in the side one week then not even in the squad. Same for the likes of Brown. 
Ojo being told he’s injured when he isn’t.

It seems like we get to this point every 18months-2 years, where the players don't want to player for the manager any more.  I think that some of these players need to have a bit of a look at themselves.

It is and people want more 😄 (Not Moore). 

We definitely need to move some players out, as many as 5 or 6, and bring in 2 quality replacements at the back. 

I'll be surprised if Darren is here till Christmas. Wasn't DC sacked after 7 league games without a win ? 

His football isn't good enough for league 1 

Grateful for last season but vale look massively off it. Recruitment been poor bar the odd one or two. Defence is worse than last season and darren still doesn't know his strongest 11 yet which is mental 

I'm not expecting vale to be up there in the top 6 by any means but the amount of points dropped and games we've bottled this season is criminal. 

I can handle the horrible football if vale snatch a 1-0 or 2-1 here and there but even lady luck has stopped doing that for us now.

A lot of them have barely been with us for that amount of time tbf 😄

That is the most sensible post I've read today.  I agree with everything you've said

Random formations & random team selections. He's not helping himself.

On the bright side, at least Tolaj made a step up to the foot of the table.

His tactics are dreadful - wants to play for the last 20 mins every week. His rotation policy is dire - play your best players. Players who have a good game are out of the squad the next week. What does Paton need to do to get a run of games?? Why are we insisting on playing players totally out of position. The transfer window this summer was awful and resulted in us having sign a player to replace the one he just signed. Goalkeeper dire, Waine not a football league player. Rico Richards wasn't consistently good enough in league two and was sent out on loan to a club who tactically don't play his position. His in game subs are woeful. His interviews are pathetic. 

He did a job getting us up last season despite playing dreadful football for most of it. We snuck in in the last 10 games or so when he finally realised to play the right players in the right games and settling his team - then first game of this season he goes back to what didn't work before - only to have to revert back at half time when the game was over. 

It's dreadful, it's boring, and it's killing my interest in port vale and football I general. 

I really don't think it's much to ask for to have a team I care about. I don't care if we win loose or draw as long as we try. The last player who really cares about playing for the club was Nathan Smith - bombed out because he 'wasn't good enough' pathetic. I'm done. I'll be back when he's gone.

It’s staring us in the face and still Moore has his supporters, especially Carol who is too loyal, patient and doesn’t seem to be ruthless enough in a game where the only thing that counts is putting points on the board.

There is no way I’d change our owners after all they’ve done but she has to realise that football is a ruthless sport.
