2026 Winter Transfer Window

Featured Replies

He’s done very little this season, but that’s down to Moore rather than Curtis. Ridiculous how often he was stuck at wingback when he has no attributes for that position. Hes wasteful but he does make things happen. I’d be disappointed if he left now that we have a manager who would probably play him in his natural position.

Not sure we should be selling players to Plymouth again though, not good ones anyway.

Transferring a player to a possible relegation rival is something I would prefer to avoid.

Exactly so you put a big price tag on, if they pay it fair enough but has to be a price tag that can get us a better player.

This is what you get when you treat players like dirt all season.

I wouldn’t blame Curtis if he wants to join them

None of us really know for sure which players will suit the way JB wants to play as opposed to how dm played. I would imagine that curtis and hall might be in the frame for starting positions but will he want byers and shipley in there for their creativity or will he want more bite and athleticism? We don't yet know. I think we might all agree he will need a younger, quicker version of Heneghan and personally I'd love a decent keeper.

faal, brown and marosi  can leave and if they need to further reduce it the likes of plant, garrity and lomax would be first out of the door for me. None of those players improve us whatever style of play Brady utilises. Im hoping he can improve walters in terms of playing forwards and contributing assists and goals but that's potential and I think we need people who can deliver now so I wouldn't bat an eyelid if walters went.

Letting the likes of curtis, shipley or paton leave whilst keeping garrity lomax and plant would seem suicidal to me.

I have never been afraid of controversy 😁

He has 2 objectives,  avoid relegation and later improve players we have with potential.

That was all down to Moore and playing him at LWB. I think now we have got rid of DM and appointed Brady Ronan will reconsider and decide that he wants to stay.

I certainly would send Brown back to Derby. The lad isn't even making matchday squads anymore and just don't see the purpose to keeping him around. As unpopular as it might be I can see him keeping hold of Faal though, he had Tyreece Simpson at Northampton and might see him as a similar profile of player.

Agreed on Plant. His loan is up this month and to be honest I'd offer Yeovil the opportunity to make it permanent, maybe just say no fee but have a sell on clause for him. I blame all of Crosby, Flitcroft and Moore mostly for it but he's been shunted around the lineup so match he's never developed a position as his primary one and in all honesty I think L2 is his ceiling. Shorrock I'd recall and send back out elsewhere, this was a ridiculous loan in the first place to be honest. Don't necessarily disagree regards Garrity but I do wonder if he'd even pass a medical elsewhere right now so expect he'll see his contract out.

I think we may have had the best out of Garrity  and the frustration he shows when he does play maybe self recognition of that. That's a decision for the new manager to make.

Or he might want to move back down south, to a bigger club, to a team that’s got more chance of stopping up than us and get a massive pay rise at the same time

As someone else has just said does Plymouth's scouting network expend beyond whoever plays for Vale because first they took Lorent off us and now they want Ronan. You are aware Plymouth that there are 22 other L1 clubs that you can buy players from so can you stop scouting us for players and look for other targets.
Interesting one, but David Fox is head of recruitment/head of football operations at Plymouth.

He's from Leek and has a few mates around here who are big Vale fans...

I’m surprised anyone has come in for Will. I like him, but having recently been in contact with a BWFC fan. He’s still not recovered from a long term injury

If Moore was still in charge I'd say Curtis is 100% gone, let's be honest who could blame him. But hopefully with a new gaffa playing him further forward in his natural position he stays, he's a threat going forward no doubt about it.

Having said that, the pictures uploaded to socials of the lads training over the last 2 days I don't think Curtis features in any.

Exactly we have already lost Lorent to them albeit they met the release clause I certainly don't want them to have Ronan as well. It would feel like they were well and truly rubbing it in our faces.

Still fuming ...... They have Tolaj off us and now if the rumour is true possibly Curtis and what do we get off them CONOR flaming GRANT
