I have been reading what the Plymouth fans have been saying about the potential Ronan transfer and hardly any of them are happy about it which surprises me.

If you just looked at numbers I can see why they’d be a bit peed off with the rumour. He’s a good player but from there side they’re signing a player who can’t get in the worst side in the league. We all know the reasons why but they probably don’t.
Im guessing he will go, shame. Good player, Moore completely screwed him (and others) over. Don’t blame him at all for leaving.

That would have been around the time of the Luton game then when he didn't even make the bench that day. Thought it was a curious one at the time. Was pretty clear to see how much happier with life Curtis was during that Blcakpool game (obviously winning helps) finally playing where he was best suited.

Yeah, he was so much happier with life during the Blackpool game and you saw how happy he was when he celebrated the 5th goal. Hopefully now that Jon has come in he can persuade Ronan to stay as he would finally get the chance to play in the role that suits him so well because judging by what Jon has said he definitely wants to play attacking football.

The goalkeeping situation is an interesting one. Surely we can off load  Maroši on a loan deal? 4 goalkeepers ( one on loan in Davies) isn't needed for a league 1 club. I can't even remember the last time he played

I think Moore completely screwed most of the squad over by mismanaging them.

Just looking at the squad in terms of outgoings who would people say are the ones who you slap the 'Not For Sale' on sign regardless of the offer. For me I've got George Hall, Devante Cole and dare I say George Byers. The latter I know some question him but that second half against Blackpool we don't have another centre mid who can do what he did and lift the whole team around him. If we pull off survival a lot will have been from him. Anyone else I wouldn't just slam the phone down even if some like Humphreys it'd take a lot.

Losing Curtis would be a hammer blow.

The only reason he hasn't flourished was down to our previous manager.

Let's be realistic if there is any truth in this he's gone.

Bigger club. Better pay. Better prospects of being in League one next season.

No brainer for Curtis.

Hope it's made up rubbish.

Genuinely depends if Brady wants to sell him? Could it be that we were talking to them earlier in the week 🤔  He's under contract so he'll only go if we think the money is right. Mad thing is we need more wingers in the squad not less!

As someone else has just said does Plymouth's scouting network expend beyond whoever plays for Vale because first they took Lorent off us and now they want Ronan. You are aware Plymouth that there are 22 other L1 clubs that you can buy players from so can you stop scouting us for players and look for other targets.

Let’s hope we do a a deal.

Buy Curtis and get Marosi & Deborah for free.

If it was another club after Ronan I wouldn't have minded but the fact is it's Plymouth who just seem to want to rub our noses in it firstly by signing Lorent after meeting his release clause and now they want Ronan. I mean it just feels like a double whammy.

If Ronan wants to go he will go.
All the power is with the players these days

Add In the Devine situation which pretty much sentenced us to relegation last time. £2 million or no for me!

The thing is if we want to stay up we have got to try and keep our best players not sell them to a relegation rival because no offence to Plymouth they are still in the bottom half and it only takes a couple of bad results for them to be sucked back into the bottom 4 and say if they were relegated at the end of the season then that would be an absolute disaster for them considering the budget they had at the start of the season. Even if Plymouth do stay up this season it already sounds like they have accepted that Lorent is going to leave them for a Championship club in the Summer.

Well, he hasn't been allowed to show what he can do this season as 1. When he's come off the bench he has only had a few minutes, 2. Not been in the matchday squad half of the time and 3. When he has played it has been out of position at LWB. He's clearly a very talented player and we have misused his talents from the moment we signed him as we have never played him in his correct position and you only need to see how well he did at Portsmouth to realise this as he is their joint record goalscorer in the 21st century with 57 goals.

I was never really clear what his best position was. He certainly didn't function well as a winger.  Yet he scored a cracking goal against Blackpool and got 2 assists from corners. He was very hit and miss, though I loved his passion and commitment.

I’m not a fan of Curtis, flatters to deceive imo like a few in our squad. If we can off load him and bring someone in I’m ok with that. Just my opinion obviously.

Exactly so you put a big price tag on, if they pay it fair enough but has to be a price tag that can get us a better player.

Or the player gets the hump and is disruptive for :

1/ putting on a price which does reflect his squad standing.

2/ preventing from moving to get a better contract.

3/ not playing him in his position and allowing him to talk to club that wants to.

This is where the player can and will dig heels in. Different if we actually valued him as an important 1st team player.

Absolute travesty the way he’s been used pretty much since he’s been at the club.

I wouldn’t begrudge him at all a move. Good player.
