Imho, this is all down to Moore, having signed a class player who’s been outstanding for his previous clubs only to rarely play him and then in every position other than wide left.

No wonder the lad’s fed up and it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s been to his agent and said find me a club.

It’s in our hands now. We can’t afford to lose a player of his calibre when we’re fighting for survival and Brady needs to tell him he’s nailed on for his best position for the rest of the season.

I watched a revitalised player against Blackpool with two assists from corners and a superb goal in one half of football.

Just what we need.

It is all down to Moore and he has done this to so many of our players this season and last season by rarely playing them and then when he did he played them in the wrong positions.

We definitely can't afford to lose a player of Ronan's calibre right now especially when we're fighting for survival as he will get numerous assists and goals between now and the end of the season especially if we play like we did against Blackpool.

I also watched a revitalised player against Blackpool who looked to have a new lease of life and judging by the smile on his face was very happy to be finally playing in the role that has served him so well over the years and he got his rewards by scoring a goal and getting 2 assists.

If we all focus on the fact Port Vale will be in league 1 next season it will  absolutely happen, use your thoughts to make sure you fully believe that will be the case and it will come true just remember being positive not negative also makes you feel happier and better. We will a 100 percent be playing league1 football next season. Port Vale forever good times are coming.

Curtis has definitely underwhelmed for us on the whole. But has often played out of position, and does show the odd moment of quality. But selling to a relagation rival, unless the offer is far too good to turn down, would be an awful decision.

If we allow Curtis to go to Plymouth in this window, we'd better have a far better player lined up to replace him immediately.

We need all the creativity, goals and assists we can get and Curtis delivers those things. If he gets a run in the side (which hopefully he will under a manager who isn't a complete idiot) I reckon he'll shine.

UTV!

I agree with you Steve.

Playing devils advocate could it be a sign we are going to stick with WB’s?

Next few weeks going to be a big indicator.

I hope to god we aren't going to stick with WB's for the rest of the season as it just leaves us too exposed at the back plus we look far more comfortable when we play with 4 at the back and the players prefer the 4 at the back as well.

I'd be gutted if Curtis left, especially during January. Not a chance in a million years we're getting better in this transfer window. It'd be an awful blow. Hopefully, with renewed optimism with the new manager (I'd imagine Brady will sit him down and chat to him at some point) will show RC that he's seen as an important cog in this neglected machine and he'll feel reassured that he won't be hung out to dry like previously. The thought of a happy, rejuvenated Curtis whipping crosses in for a happy and rejuvenated Jayden Stockley getting on the end of, is potentially very exciting. We need to put our better players in their strongest positions and stop messing around with square pegs in round holes.

Let's not weaken our squad further when we've already got a very challenging situation ahead. Full steam ahead. The only outgoings should be loanees returning to their parent clubs and one or two fringe players departing for minutes.

Considering we were only 6 points from safety last time, and the quality of our squad then, I don't think the gap between L1 and L2 is as big as you think.

At the high end no. But I would say the bottom half of league 2 is worse than top half of conference these days.

My Argyle work mate is positive Tolaj is off in the summer for £4M,Vale have 10% over the £1.2M we sold him for.

With regards to Curtis, they know him well from his Pompey days, not excited by the prospect of him signing,he spoke of £100,000 being quoted, rumoured.

Curtis could have instigated a move away, who would blame him after playing in Moores befuddled set ups?

Ok we got promotion with Moore, (should have have been champions) but his legacy is going to harm us for seasons if JB can't pull out of the tail spin we're in.

Deal done. Ronan has gone. 2.5 year deal. Minimum fee. Was done before Brady was here. League 2 club.

To lose our two top signings ... Tolaj (15 goals for Plymouth so far) and Curtis (45 goals in 206 league 1 appearances) would be a disaster of a season.

If this is the case surely you think Ronan would have waited to see the new manager come in and then see if he would fit into his plans etc.

Did Ronan ever have Port Vale in his Insta bio or was it always like this?

why would he?

Port Vale or Plymouth, irrespective of who the Vale manager is.

Its Plymouth every time

I will say on Curtis, he’s been a very underwhelming signing considering what we thought we were getting on paper. And I do think there’s better wingers out there.

And this season he’s largely not impressed me. But getting rid of solid players when we are in a relegation battle is dreadful from us.
