Who do you think we'll sign with the 500k we're getting for Ronan Curtis?

Ronaldo. Lifetime of oatcakes also agreed in the deal

MK have signed Jay Matete from Sunderland. That is a ridiculous signing for L2.

7 points behind Bromley sat in 5th. Coupled with their summer signings they should be 10 points clear.

A bigger budget obviously helps massively but you still have to do the business which is why I felt DM deserved credit for promotion. It still has to be earned.

Mk squad is ludicrous for League 2.

We can't sell him as I've got him in my side for tonight 😂

If the Curtis deal has been sorted out before Xmas it does show that even late on in December, our senior management were still having full faith in Moore, and his decisions re players. If you were thinking there might be a change of manager, would you be allowing players to leave so close to the transfer widow and the possibility of a new manager.

Anything close to 500K and we would be foolish to turn that down for a talented but massively inconsistent 29 year old. We are desperate for a pacey wide player in the Jennison Myrie-Williams mould, but I feel like I've been saying that for years.

If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

I think that was pretty clear it was going to be the case with DM right up to the very end. In a sense losing 5-0 rather than say just 3-0 did us a favour as I’m sure they’d have tried to rationalise that.

My guess is a deal might have been agreed in principle before the window but the club after sacking DM have said he’ll have to wait until the new manager is in situ before we agree to anything or if he is going to say we need more from Plymouth etc.

£500k is not a serious figure.  It was made up by Brian Johnson.  No one has any idea what sort of figure is being discussed.

True, but they are at different stages in their career and Curtis has recently had an ACL injury. Big difference in class between Curtis and Tolaj imo. For me Tolaj is a championship player and Curtis is a low league 1 player

Agree - but when Tolaj was going through his bad spell there were people here who didn't rate him (much). Certainly not at Championship level.

My point is, if you play players in their best positions and in roles and tactics that suit them you can get that extra % out of the player.

Yeah most of the time it is because it will effect the club in the market trying to replace him.

I think it would have been a done deal before he got here. As he would not really have had time to assess him him. But I suppose we never really will know. It's a done deal now, so we move on. Waine could be an able replacement.

Alnwick goes to Huddersfield meaning they've sent Goodman back to Palace.

I'd have taken Alnwick back in a heartbeat but Goodman might be worth a shout on loan based on his Wimbledon spell rather than his troubles at Huddersfield this season.
