Should Curtis go we do have a ready made replacement. Shorrock. Under Moore he was never allowed to develop his natural talent as a winger. Moore insisted on playing him as a wingback. Shorrock is never a defender, he was wasted. Bring him back, give him a role where he can develop his natural talent and wastc him blossom

I like shorrock but be serious, he isn't even starting for chester.  His time will come but it isn't yet.

I read about that missing payment last night and then I have seen these 2 comments from Vale fans also from last night so it sounds like Plymouth haven't actually paid us the £1.2M yet and if that is the case surely the deal and contract is null and void. In fact it even says when a team misses a payment to a player it can lead to penalities for the club involved such as immediate registration embargoes (such as the banning of new player signings) and the involvement of governing bodies or legal action. So, if Plymouth have indeed missed a payment for Tolaj or to us which is sounds like they have done then it doesn't bode at all well on their part. I also now seriously question that if it is indeed true that Plymouth haven't paid us the £1.2M if we are ever going to receive it from them.

Nodge thinks he's funny and clever thinking transfers are paid cash up front. 🙄 Also, why would jon ashworth have any idea whether Plymouth have paid their installments on Tolaj or not?

It does sound like they have missed December's payment though so questions need to be asked about why they have missed it.

I haven't seen a reputable source saying this is the case though (and it carries penalties for not doing so)

Lots of talk on PASOTI, regarding Curtis, however posters aren’t sure if it’s our Curtis or Curtis Nelson. Staffordshire lad, ex Plymouth player with a Janner wife. Also some rumour that Nelson might be going MK. Someone else has posted that Plymouth have missed a payment for Tolaj, if that’s true I don’t think they’ll be allowed to sign any other players.

I believe transfer fees can be in instalments  spread over the length of his contract with a maximum of 3 years. I suppose there is a minimum fee that this applies to, maybe say a £1M.

I mean I haven't seen a reputable source saying it so I don't know how true it is but a Plymouth fan mentioned it on PASOTI last night.

The thing is I don't think he will be with them much longer as I reckon a Championship club will sign him in the Summer.

There isn't a minimum fee it applies to, fwiw. The installments can be spread however they like as well (within the 3 years)

Without clear knowledge of the deal can't really say if the terms have been violated or not.

I would imagine the club would raise with the EFL if there are any issues.

Why would it? If they sell him, that club pays in installments as well. Like any credit agreement.

Man United were still paying instalments on Sancho after he'd gone.

Bring him back for assessment by the new set-up

I’d bring him back purely because he’s not getting game time and I’d be looking to loan him elsewhere.

Maybe they need to sell him to pay the instalments, but that would put them in a poor bargaining situation, could we loan him back?

If they had missed the payment on it then the league are really hot on that stuff and they’d be under a transfer embargo. Load of nonsense I reckon.
