Does anyone know what’s happening with Ben garratiy , is he injured or not played because of problems with Moore?

Injured. Seems to be dealing with a few lingering injuries this season and can't get fully fit

500k for a 29 year old who can't hold down a position for the worst team in L1?

Is it April 1st already?

There's nowt on port vale official website saying he's left the club yet 🤔, imo he's flattered to decieve when he has played, good luck to him if he does sign for Plymouth argyle.. UTV VTID 👍 😎

I'm with you Splodger......never floated my boat. I know he's had some magic moments, been misused by DM etc etc but I've been frustrated by him more than excited by him. Anyrode one man's meat is another man's poison as they say.

Where's 500K come from!? If that's true then we have absolutely fleeced them. I liked Ronan, but 500K at this stage of his career is incredible business by us.

It's a shame as I think he'd have thrived under Brady playing out wide, but you can't turn down that kind of money for a player at that stage in their career. Worlds gone mad!

It was a joke figure by Brian Johnson. A load of tosh.  He was making a point, that's all.

Picky point about Curtis - but I never like the socks over knees bit 😁

Brilliant news that we're getting 500k for Curtis.

Am i the only one who wouldn't be bothered if curtis left hes been bang average for us i know mostly played out of position but for me hes past his prime and think he could easily be replaced

Not sure about bang average but he's always looked half a yard short on pace for an out and out winger. He quite often gets past his defender but rarely gets away from him. Not surprising given his injury at Portsmouth which nearly ended his career. He also fails to do the simple things quite often, a good example being a through ball for Clark last match which he played about 20 metres behind him. I think he is a good player but searching for a role. Wimbledon got more from him in terms of goals and assists. They did play him on the left sometimes but more often as a 10. Post injury I think that may be a better role for him, or maybe doing what Chislett did as one of two 10s. Certainly if the new manager wants to persist with Stockley I think Johnson is a better bet as a left winger. Pace wise he's at least as quick as Curtis.  He also gets the ball in more quickly and the quality of Johnson's crossing is more consistent.

For me the reason we've struggled to score goals are:

1. The quality of balls into the box are often poor

2. The bigger problem has been players taking 2 or 3 touches before getting the ball in. Other teams do it quicker. That short delay makes a massive difference in terms of pressure on the forward and how close a defender can get. An extra metre of space is a massive difference in terms of scoring a goal. I've seen talk of our high XGoals all season and the Huddersfield manager mentioned it. I've thought the stat has been overstated all season due to the slow delivery and the resultant lack of space for the player with the opportunity.

Too many zeroes in the real world

If it was done a deal you would have expected it be announced by the club by now surely?

Agree that we do a lot of things too slowly- even our passing backwards is slow

Who do you think we'll sign with the 500k we're getting for Ronan Curtis?
