Sorry mate but the irony here… Cole is a journey man and has just left us after 6 months chasing another payday???

Talk about twisting things to suit a rhetoric.

Let’s judge if it’s a good bit of business after he’s actually played a few games of football for us rather than before the ink has dried eh?

I posted earlier saying it looks like we have given up but this signing says maybe not…just yet. There is also hope that we could still sign a player if they have become available after cancelling their contract which usually happens. I think we are possibly a central mid light now of having a crack at staying up. It’s a massively tall order but I’ll enjoy the rest of the season much more if we give it a good bloody go!

Exactly. It was posted with irony.

A number of posters had been saying the same thing about Cole and now delighted we signed Gray.

All we can ask for is the same commitment, effort and desire as last Saturday. Do we have enough quality or goals in us to win 9 more games to give us chance?  I very much doubt it but at least they go down with a fight on the pitch.

Gray would have been a great signing 5 years ago. Too old now looking at his recent stats.

Wow, great insight.

From the Turkish Riviera to Westport Lake

Turkey to Tunster

Besiktas to Boslem

Welcome Andre Gray

Can Andre Gray now be our difference maker??

Obviously better than Brown so that’s a tick.

Not played for over a month and not available for 2 home games so don’t expect a difference anytime soon. Could be a slow burn like Eagles?

His club in Turkey are rock bottom of the Turkish Super League. So that could explain why he struggled to score.

One would imagine he could have retired by now if he wanted to, with the money he has made in his career. So, quite probably, he just wants to play football as you're along time retired. David McGoldrick is 38 and can't stop scoring at this level, so let's see what Gray can do.

Good job he’s come to us then…

We'll be happy with a few goals off any part of Gray's anatomy.

Overall I’m actually quite positive about our business.

Genuinely am gutted for both Mitch and Paton. Can understand it though. Mitch was one for three RBs at the club (four if you include Lomax) so needed a full somewhere to make room.

Hoping Rauri goes and scores a bag load again at that level, proves why we picked him up in the first place, and then puts himself in the frame next year or we can sell him and get a bit of money back for his sake.

Plant needed games and Crosby loves him so hope it works out for him there.

Curtis is still the sore spot. Could have been a real key player in Brady’s formation. Archer looks a good pick up though.

Gray over Cole is decent business. Hopefully he’s not past it but time will tell.

The young lads on loan, let’s just see what the can do. Same with the not so young lad from Workington.

And from kebabs to oatcakes. 😂👍

Not sure how anyone can complain about Andre Gray. Look at where we are in the table.

It could turn out he’s way past it and is useless. Alternatively he could be class. Worth a try at least.

Not the first time we’ve taken a punt on an old top level pro, and won’t be the last.

Loved Paton. The man oozes passion and you could genuinely tell he loved being here. He'll make a cracking manager one day

Unfortunately I just think league 1 is a step up for him and I can see him doing well in the Scottish championship.

I remember people saying similar about Roy Chapman and then Ron Futcher. Some even said Jimmy Greenhoff wouldn't cut  it at the Vale.

Have to say I was privileged to watch all those 3 old codgers give me some real entertainment at the Vale. Ok they didnt last that long and their legs werent the fastest but they still knew where the net was .

Isnt the WHOLE Turkey football setup under investigation for match corruption ? Perhaps his team didnt have enough moolah to bride the Refs / owners/ players / bookies etc.   If your in a team and YOU know that the outcome of most matches is already predetermined by bribery it may just make you think what the fook can I achieve here that reflects my ability ?

To be fair, and maybe it’s because players aged faster back in the day, but Ronnie Futcher was only 31 when we signed him!

Bloke had a hard paper round.
