Moore has gone. The transfer window has gone. Now is the time for the squad to show some pride. They are playing for the Club, Port Vale F C and the long suffering fanbase. We need a few older, experienced faces. It is no accident that some of our best league 1 players in the past have been old, top tier pros. Sonner, Michael Brown, Hughes, Eagles etc. You need a couple in the side. Problem is we tend to have had some real has beens like Pugh which have made that approach less appealing.

He could buy the Vale, leave Carol to run the Foundation and still have change for a few oatcakes.

So, this might explain why Mitch joined Fleetwood on loan given that him and Luke played together at Vale.

You can’t be undecided on here. You have to make up your mind before you see him play!

As far as we can yet judge, it looks like a good transfer window.

Jon Brady clearly requiring strength and pace in his players, judging by his incomers.

If Andre Gray now has 90% of his youthful electric pace, that will still be plenty to see off the vast majority of EFL1 defenders.

I think we can look forward to a productive 20 remaining games and give it a really strong shot at staying up.

Would have been nice to have signed Andre Gray and kept Devante Cole, being greedy I know but that would have given real hope.

I thought there may have been a chance that Cole would have stayed at Vale but hey ho, the lure of a likely bigger pay check and at least Lge 1 football next season did the trick.

Watched a couple of videos on Luton's transfer business and a couple of fans were saying "Not enough has been done and weren't that thriiled about the signing of Cole" or words to that effect. Anyhow all water under the bridge now but if Luton do go up which I doubt, Cole will likely be sitting on the subs bench in a team getting outplayed in the Championship.

They were fortunate to get a draw against us at their place.

Sad to see Mich and Ruari go, Mitch provided a real attacking threat down the wings, yep his final ball wasn't always perfect but what defenders' is at this level, he's not Manny Kaltz. For Ruari that potential just doesn't appear able to get out at Vale Park.
