Yeah that's a great point. He'd still be our best wingback if we'd kept him and he's older than Gray.

If only we played wingbacks

Always remember must have been last game of the season when the players went into the old directors box to applaud fans after the game and Jimmy Greenhoff came out with a fag in his mouth.

Honestly don’t know, it’s quite possible though I remember him getting sent home from a pre season trip to Scotland because he went out on the lash and ended up knocking some women off.

Was it true that Ray Walker got with Phil Sproson’s wife ?

Still undecided on the andre gray signing, mega name, but 15 goals in 3 seasons suggests his best days are behind him, id call this a gray area #PVFC

People said this when we signed Chris Eagles and he’d barely played for Bury and Accrington. He was then absolute class and we very nearly stayed up.

Gray might be crap but you never know with these sorts of signings.

I don't know, I am staying out of this one!

I agree with all your points there KS, in that he has had some nasty injuries, and he probably isnt at the levels of his first season or two and he isnt as technically gifted as some, but for me, BGs stamina seemed ok for 100 minutes on Saturday - first game back as well - and we won, Also didnt see many of the opposition breeze straight by him.

GR was talking about people in the trenches earlier - BG is the kind of guy id want in there.💜💜👍😁

I wouldn't disagree I like his attitude I recognise that he did well earlier in his time here and I am a fan of stockley too its not about whether I like them my point is that I don't want to keep this type of player next season. Whether we stay up or go down for me the only way to avoid this yoyoing is to recognise when its time to move players on whether that be because they are older, slower, less technically gifted or just injury prone.

Does anyone know when Gray is likely to be available?

Can't stop scoring at this level?

He's scored the same amount of goals as Devante Cole did for us. 😂

I think Gray is one of those players who just wants to play football for as long as he can. He'll be playing non-league at 40 I reckon. Came up the hard way so knows what it's about. I'm sure he's delighted to be back home now after a couple of years being away from his young family. There are ingredients there to make this as successful few months for him and the club. You don't score as many as he has in the top and second flight without having quality. He knows where the goal is and strikes the ball with controlled venum. I'm looking forward to seeing him in action.

Little did Ed know when he posted this at 12:52pm yesterday that his wish would be granted.

I will judge the new recruits when I have seen them play but my initial reaction is that I am glad we don't have to rely on brown to get the goals to keep us up.

Perhaps he could learn something from an old pro like Gray?
