Finally 3 points!!!

After the Gaucci save at 1-0 I never felt they threatened our goal. Up until that point I thought our defence looked really nervy but it seemed to give than confidence. We restricted them to a coupe of long range strikes which were comfortable for the keeper.

2 very clinical finishes from Cole and Paton plus a fantastic assist.

Solid away performance.

Hopefully this gives us more belief going forward.

It’s weird as in terms of overall performance can name multiple ones better than that this season but we have the win to show for it.

Thought the midfield was really good first half  and led through Byers who was always in position. Cole and Paton looks like a partnership so that’s a huge plus. Really thought Kyle John stuck to his task extremely well on the right too as did Gordon on the opposite flank.

Overall just glad we can celebrate a win tonight.

Byers is on borrowed time for me. He is the highest earner at the club and is getting out performed by Walters who for some strange reason isn’t even in the squad today. Yet another decision that could end up costing Moore his job in a few weeks.

You hoped it would cost him his job but the decisions he made worked today, sometimes they do and sometimes they dont but that's what he is paid for

A very good 3 points earned today against a team who we know can be decent at home and a clean sheet as well,we cant ask for much more,so a well done to DM and the boys today,I am sure we all hope that this kick starts our season now

Onwards and Upwards me owd fruits

Gauci was excellent - though I think his saves in the second were all fairly standard but welcome after last weekend.

The biggest plus with him is his composure and decision-making. Always makes the right call on whether to come out or not.

All three would of gone in if marosi was in net

How is it we never seem to get a ‘homer’ referee ???

The number of fouls he gave to them and yet similar fouls on Vale players he waved play on. We should have had a penalty first half when their centre half was holding a Vale player for ages stopping him getting to a cross

Not arsed about entertainment, that’s not what I was getting at. I was trying to say that we’ve played better and lost this season.
I’ll tske that performance and result every game.

I completely agree with you. Interesting how perception works sometimes though as walking back to Exeter St Davids had about 3 separate fans of theirs say we gave them an absolute schooling today not that it felt like that more just we did a very solid professional job.

Get in Cole

That is exactly what you get when you pay the money to bring in a very good striker for this level

Anyone still suffering from PTSD after that infamous 4-4 draw with QPR, will say we need five 😎

Why did you have to bring that up, only just got over it. Now I've got to sit in a darkened room 🤐

Devante Goal
