. We've got a far better squad than Exeter, so we need to get points off these sorts of teams.

Dead right, we got the result we should have got considering the strength of our team.

Phew!

We needed that. Not a great advert for league 1 football but sometimes you just need a win. Need to follow up with a home win.

You combine the defensive organisation, concentration, clinical finishing, and the little bit of slowing the game down, with the football we played before and we’ve got the makings of a very good team.

Any aggro?

The name that is not being mentioned here much is Gauchi - or lefty to me. I only listened to the match on Radio but his name was mentioned more that the rest in that second half. Cant wait for the highlights late on TV to see how well he did .

Gauci was excellent - though I think his saves in the second were all fairly standard but welcome after last weekend.

The biggest plus with him is his composure and decision-making. Always makes the right call on whether to come out or not.

He's a very, very good goalkeeper. Made a really vital save at 0-1 today. Command of area and decisiveness is superb, as is his handling.

Love this new plan goalie. Cole is a serious player. Happy with the squad, regardless of we go down (we shouldn't) this squad has been good for our budget and level.

A performance straight out of last season. Didn’t create much, but very critical a polar opposite to games this season. Arguably didn’t play as well as in the other games this season!
Paton, Cole excellent. Gauci excellent, I thought John did really well as the game went on as well.

Lovely stuff. Hopefully kick starts the season

Heaven forbid that we should get a result and entertainment. 🙂

The result was really the only thing that mattered today, and I thought that we did a good professional job to bring the points home.

Congrats to DM and the team and safe travel back SVA.

Big result, if we follow it up next weekend and things will feel much better overall.

Can't we just enjoy this win for an hour or so before we start thinking about having to win the next one?

Our ugliest performance of the season but it got us a much needed 3 points. Exeter passed the ball around nicely at times but had little threat.
