Very disappointed again! Our passing was shocking! We again had a number of chances to win the game by a margin, how many headers are we going to put past the post? Worrying times we can't buy a goal nobody can shoot ! Just hope we can quickly get a win to stop the rot.

I might be wrong but Moore has only won 3 games in the last 20 in the 1st Div. and the way we went about today that record isn't go to improve any time soon, today's game was a mirror of the last time in this league

We created 3 good chances & didn't score. They created 1 and scored. We didn't play well second half, but yet again the difference was been clinical in front of goal. I'd like a centre half as well, but overall we are a good goalscorer away from been a decent L1 side. We know what we need, and we should have the funds to get one, but goalscorers are the hardest players to acquire, we have a week to get it sorted.

In summary, we can’t currently score, other teams can.  Recruitment of forward players wasn’t good enough, that may change, and we’ve subsequently got 1 injured and lost our leading goalscorer.  We make basic mistakes and get punished.  Moore made 6 changes today, we looked disjointed, although should be going in leading.  I thought Donny were garbage, possibly the worst of the teams faced so far, but after gifting them a goal it was game over.  That’s it.

In my opinion the midfield three should be Croasdale, Walters and Byers.

I am getting a bit concerned now. It’s the same old story every game. Clearly the better team. Created enough chances to win. 
We just can’t put the bloody thing in the net.

Then we get done with the other team’s only chance.

We need someone who can put the ball in ASAP. 

I was also concerned today with how often and how cheaply we gave the ball away. Their goal was entirely our own doing. And that’s basically the only thing they did all game.

Aren’t football fans wonderful! “Worst week ever at vale”…lowest league one points ever being talked about. Talk about overreactions. Flappers will flap. Same every season. We will be fine once we work out where the net is. Would be more worried if we weren’t creating any chances. Keep the faith. 
 

notice nippy is back, where did he go for promotion? Anyone see him? Hopefully we will start winning just so the forum sees the back of him if nothing else. Sad little man

Moore has won 2 games in league 1 with us and the recruitment, in the main has been average, we are not good enough in both penalty areas and that’s got to change.

Now the club will not comment on Tolaj and Recruitment, talk about caring for the fans ?

I’d say we need 2 strikers.  I feel we came in light and now look toothless.  Tolaj now gone, Stockley injured, Waine and Faal very raw, Curtis is busy but not going to be prolific, Paton nowhere near.  If teams realise we have no goal threat they’ll just set up to attack us without fear, which is what happened last time we were in this division.

This squad is lacking a League 1 goalscorer that's the difference. We were on top in the first half but couldn't make it count. They were better in the second half and could . We don't seem to have it in us to come back from going down making taking the lead even more important. We know where that cash needs spending, need to do to another club what's been done to us, steal their striker.

pretty much agree. 

One of croasdale or Ojo. Both do a similar job and either would be fine.

One of Byers or Shipley. I know who most would prefer. 
And then Walters as he is the one who can progress with then all forwards. 

Poor team selection.

No need to change the GK,Gordon or Croasdale.

However,you have to take your chances. Faal had 2,Humphreys 1...none of them were difficult,all within the penalty area.

I know Shipley was selected for dead ball situations and for the majority,they were good.

Miscontrol by Faal gave the goal away but there were so many misplaced passes. I lost count of the number of times we were going forward,only to pass the ball back and lose possession. No one shoots when in good positions and I can't remember the GK making a save.

We've lost to a bang average Doncaster team and that 2nd half performance had relegation written all over it

Just heard that on the radio and said to my wife that it’s a strange statement to make. Almost sounds like a “we won’t be replacing Tolaj so stop asking”. Bizarre.
