Nope. Good first half, can’t hit a barn door. Dire 2nd half. They deserved the win

Stockley, good enough but injured. Faal, wildcard. Paton, not good enough and needs to be loaned out. Waine, jury’s out but not an out-and-out striker. Curtis, good enough but again not an out-and-out striker. We were almost solely dependant on Tolaj and now he’s gone. It’s now time to invest in a striker or preferably 2, or go down.

We were 6th top scorers in League Two last season

I think you should support a different team if you are not happy with automatic promotion and being one of the leagues top scoring teams

That puts the cherry on what has been a pretty dire week for the club. The Cup hopefully provides a bit of respite. We are quickly going to find ourselves in the brown stuff though. I really hope we’ve got some deals teed up because, like I say, that’s one relegation spot taken if we haven’t.

Isn’t the recruitment guy ex-Stoke? If so, I’m not being funny, but their recruitment over the last decade has been absolutely shocking considering they are backed by one of the richest families in the UK and get 20,000-plus.

I’m not going to lie, I’m concerned at this moment. We’ve got a terrible record in the transfer windows and it feels - and I hope I’m wrong - we haven’t learned anything from when we last went down.

In hindsight it’s easy to see, but Hall was terrible at L1 level last time out, Debrah some would argue was a league 2 sub, and we’re going into a new season with Humphreys as Smith’s replacement then the other CBs as you were. That makes no sense at all. Gordon and John have versatility to play to CB, but we require a commanding RCB at least.
