Only 49 points for safety 😀

Well done Vale.  A point is welcome start to this season.

We have seen too many games like this end in sorrow, so well done on fighting to the end.

Ojo has started this season showing us what he can do.  Well done.

Played really well. Robbed by the officials. Wish Darren had put a couple more fresh legs on at the end as we possibly could have taken it. Overall really pleased with the performance. UTV.

Excellent response after the Rotherham game. Really enjoyed the way we played and how everyone battled. Robbed of 3 points but that was very positive against a team with some very decent players for this level.

Well done Vale! Performances like that give me bags of optimism.  We can certainly compete at this level and but for shocking refereeing decisions we would have clinched the 3 points tonight.

Wonderful nil each game - well played all, great team effort, and Funso was amazing - no dummy out the pram on show here 👏👏👏👏

Its encouraging to see the refereeing is on par with last season  😯😯😯😯😯

Excellent team performance but its the 2nd game running when we don’t take our chances. 1 on target in 16 is not good enough and we need better delivery from wide areas.

Mitch was ONSIDE and why was the Cardiff lad not sent off for a carbon copy tackle of Headley from last Saturday?

Feel we tried to force it a little too much towards the end and lacked a bit of composure and quality to create another decent chance.

Feel we have been a little cheated out of a win.

We could so easily have 6 points instead of 1.

Well done, Dazza and the lads. Would have taken a point before the game but the way we played I’m disappointed we didn’t win. And, sickeningly, we were denied a perfectly good goal by the useless officials.

Best I’ve seen us for a long time. Against opposition of that calibre it was a brilliant performance - once we start scoring we will be fine.

Starting to really look forward to the season - UTV!

We've played brilliantly so far. Determination, passion and fair levels of skill.  Just need that killer instinct to go with all that.  And, of course, a good slice of luck. Come on you VALE!

Hopefully the new lad will help Vale with the killer instinct and the players will step up and get the killer confidence.

It was a great game to listen to.  No nails left when we were attacking.  All the players played their part tonight and deserve the applause they got coming off the pitch.

Delighted with that performance and would have been a travesty if we didn’t come away with even a point. Tolaj up front in a two is a demon. The whole midfield and Mitch were also outstanding.

Cracking atmosphere tonight as well. Whole of VP was right behind the team start to finish.

Three quality halves put together by us now. I think we’ll be fine this season.

How can you be that incompetent when stood in that position?

Played brilliant, 100% commitment and controlled aggression. Just lacking a bit of quality in the final third and some decent officials.

Gave Byers offside for the other when he looked on as well
