We wouldn't of stayed up no chance.

But the thought that a working class Port Vale has any affiliation or bond with a beige middle class bunch like Reading makes me laugh.

It's difficult but the flip sideis what do we expect Reading fans to have done? 'Not that', I know. But I don't know what? Wasn't really following their situation that closely.

We did things differently in our darkest days, I know. I can't really agree with what they did, but I understand it if they felt they had no other choice.

Their protests were well known even before the game so in a way I was surprised that many went and it was cruel what happened really so I can see the anger is justified.

Just wondering what fans should do in these kinds of situations to show solidarity - not attend the games at all? Maybe teams with awful owners should get the MK / JPT treatment and desert the games?

As for our prospects had that game went through anyway and we got a result, I agree with people saying we still would have gone down.

I don't mind what the club have done here, they did contribute to the Rudge statue so some sort of thank you is just courtesy.

Hopefully with the regulator in we can avoid these kinds of incidents happening in future.

Carol explained we have no gaps, so an Ollie type loan is not likely.

Moore seems to suggest otherwise.

I think the couple of signings most people agree we are missing could well be filled by loan players. The wages of Ojo who was one of our better paid players could contribute someway towards their cost but that's only if he leaves.

Can someone just clarify that the reduced price offer of £10 for the game is available to both Vale and Reading fans - cheers 👍👍

Can’t wait to play Reading again. I’ve ordered my half and half scarf.

Which position? The only possible gap I see is goalkeeper. But even then we would have plenty of time to arrange a replacement in January.

I think under league rules they may have to be, one of the reasons for membership cards is to give discounts.

It says all areas of the ground £10 and  Children free. I wonder if Reading will do some kind of offer for the away game on 30th August? 🤔

I may be proved wrong, but my money is on    No

The Reading Supporters Club has already contacted their club management to ask them to reciprocate the Vale offer.

We'll see what transpires.

I won't be going even if they do...

I think this shows what a strong league it is. Some good sides there not in the top 6

it looks like everyone is pretty even, no great sides (Birmingham, Wrexham) no <ovf censored> sides either. Although we have a much better team than last time I still think we will have hard time.

I don't think there is a rule against charging away fans less than home fans.
