At least if it's 10 spunkies for both sets of fans, at least some valiants will benefit as well  :classic_biggrin:

It shouldn't be a choice for the fans but a decision by the FA.

At the very least, the FA should have awarded the win and 3 points to Vale and set a precedent for the future to fans.

I am with Leeds Valiant on this one, what happened on the day was a disgrace, Vale were more than matching a Reading side who were low on confidence and a win for Vale could well have impacted games to come. Reading FC got away virtually scott free and have since gone from strength to strength.

Oh I'd agree the FA (EFL in this case btw) are absolutely toothless.

Reading did seem to get away from the whole thing better than other clubs had done.

And this is the crux of it for me. We probably would have gone down anyway but we were ultimately punished and Reading weren't. They knew what was planned and did nothing to stop it and then the EFL allowed them to replay the match when they were in much better form.

I'm honestly baffled that people are still 'together with Reading '. If I was Vale's owner, I'd be absolutely furious. I sympathise with their situation but to cause abandonment of a game crosses a line that the EFL have set a precedent for. Basically, as long as we have a valid reason, we can simply sit in the centre circle and get a game abandoned without fear of punishment.
The Reading Supporters Club has already contacted their club management to ask them to reciprocate the Vale offer.

We'll see what transpires.
That's the very, very least they can do. They should be allowing us to see the game for free and putting on transport and a refreshments voucher.

Which position? The only possible gap I see is goalkeeper. But even then we would have plenty of time to arrange a replacement in January.

You would have to ask him not me.  Why would we want to arrange a replacement goalkeeper in January when Amos is injured now?

I still wouldn't go...

I would… but it would have to be a Saturday 3:00  pm kick off which is becoming less and less likely for any game which has either a large Saturday away following or the slightest bit of outside interest unfortunately.

The only possible gap in the squad is the goalkeeper, bring a goalie in to cover the Amos injury job done. If further cover is required there is plenty of time unlike the Ollie and Devine situation who were covering gaps in the squad.

Worse still, despite Reading moaning about Dai Yoonge and what a bad owner he was, the guy was Father Christmas compared to Smurfwaite and we didn’t get any matches called off.

At the time Yoonge sold the club, they were 7th in league 1. Yeah he cut costs, but really a lot of that was inevitable when they were relegated from the championship.

Sorry I didn't realise but we've now lost 2 Saturday matches at home for a Thursday night and Monday night. Stockport will still bring a good following even with the game been moved to a Monday night but for Plymouth fans it's a disgrace that's it's been moved to 12:30 no consideration for the fans whatsoever.
