Maybe I should of said did ok last season in relation to Pepple,he certainly is no Hardie that's for sure as they have lost some good players

I think they will struggle in the new season.

I like the look of Wigan so far.

I understand the clamour for new signings and a new forward would be more than welcome. But surely Tolaj and Stockley deserve the chance to start the season as our front two? Both quality players and Stockley imparticular is key to how DM likes to set up. Don't get me wrong, I'd love JCH and it would he a nice problem to have, but I would personally like to see a fully fit Tolaj and Stockley start the season for us.

I get your point, but if Clarke-Harris was offered to Vale, we’d be daft not to take it.

Ironically Rotherham fans are delighted they've paid money to get rid of him!

Rotherham fans were glad to see the back of Cameron Humphreys, but us Vale fans are buzzing with the signing.

I'd take their opinions with a pinch of salt. Feels like the kind of fanbase that’s maybe overachieved for the size of the club over the past decade and is now struggling to come to terms with a spell of mediocrity.

JCH is a real puzzle - for a player of his calibre to be told by your boss that you arnt in his plans seems very strange - iv always admired him, but something about this seems a bit "off"

Maybe he would fail the d1ckhead test

I can never make up my mind on this one - are we saying a player is a d1ckhead if he passes the test, or is he a d1ckhead if he fails the test?

Also, I think I might like to take the test myself - could clear up a lot of my "issues" if im medically classified as a "d1ckhead"

Maybe we could also grade "dickheadness" - you know, similar to how educational degrees are classed in levels - could be the first (and only) time I can reach a grade 1 😁😁😁👍👍👍

But if you say your training with the reserves or below and he refuses - is he then in breach of his contract.

He seems happy to not playing for Vale, as he wasn't really that energetic on the pitch if the ball was more than 4 ft away from his feet.  He just wanted the money.

It's like any workplace... maybe not zero-hour contracts or whatever. Okay, it's like any workplace where employees have solid contracts and a good union behind them and the ability to employ lawyers.

So it's not a case of someone not clocking in to their Amazon warehouse shift during their probation period and immediately getting sacked. There has to be an investigation as to why the player hasn't turned up. They can claim sickness or injury or even personal issues if they prefer not to have their contracts ripped up. They can be fined and given warnings. If they keep missing training or whatever then they will probably end up being sacked. Just like a player can leave a club if they don't get paid (minus any legally enforced fines) and get paid for the remainder of their contract when they take legal action later on.

Funso Ojo will not skip training and get sacked. That is an event that will not happen.

Too much d1ck on the brain I think, @Hoppers ooh err 😉

If Ojo wants to leave the club he will go to Mr Moore and say "please release me from my contract" and the club will oblige. He will not say "I want to not play or train but also still get paid". He is not a moron

That's really not true. The majority of their fans and the manager by offering a new contract wanted Humphreys to stay. JCH was a contracted players, they've agreed a package with to leave. In theory a high enough profile player to transfer list and expect some kind of a fee.

As one Rotherham fan put it: "Our first marquee departure! Delighted!!"

Well the other side of it is we have 22 registration places filled now, so if Moore wants another outfield senior player he's probably going to look at getting a player like Ojo gone one way or another...

Well last season Ojo went on a season long loan to Shrewsbury and he did okay there without ripping up any trees. Shouldn't be too difficult for him to find another club now with one year left on his deal as opposed to two.

if they have paid him up, does that mean they wont get a transfer fee?
