That could easily have been a financial decision by the club to free up salaries. We can only speculate.

Not sure about that. I cannot imagine Ojo's salary covering the subsequent signings of Harper, Headley and Walters.

Is also possible. However, Walters was out in the cold and after re-instatement has really shown his potential. And I do believe DM wants to get the best out of Ojo and has a plan the same as last year to rotate players at least during the first half of the season to ensure he ha a fit squad in the run in. Hence the reason why there is so much competition for wing positions.

Any of the Wednesday squad under contract can give notice and leave on a free now the club are in breach.  One of the more.. let’s say ageing players we would perhaps have an opportunity with.

I'd imagine the ones giving notice are probably already in discussions or very confident they will maintain a Championship wage.

Ojo wasn’t in Moore’s plans in League 2. Why would he suddenly be in Moore’s plans in League 1?

The myth that somehow League 1 is slower and more technical, and therefore better for more technical players, is somehow pervasive. It’s tripe. It isn’t true. It’s even quicker and stronger.

Croasdale is twice the player and character of Ojo.

Why the hell would Moore all of a sudden prefer Ojo to Croasdale because he has a ‘better pass completion’

Just a thought, if he prefers Ojo, perhaps he wouldn’t have sent him out on loan and then signed Croasdale in the first place (who has vastly outperformed anyone’s expectations may I add)

Regarding the striker market - I see yesterday that Charlton spent £1.5m on Isaac Olaofe who scored 8 goals in L1 last season for Stockport.

So I think the "we need a proven goalscorer" brigade might need to dampen their expectations of picking up a regular 30 goal a season striker on a free transfer!

Without getting totally ahead of myself, next summer could be very interesting. Looking at the fees being paid for players at this level, a solid season from Tolaj or Walters could see 7-figure interest. The issue the being, us wanting to push on and push for promotion to the Championship in 26/27 v. being unable to hang onto our prized assets. 

Nice problems to have if it all comes together.
