I'd imagine the ones giving notice are probably already in discussions or very confident they will maintain a Championship wage.

Yeah you are probably be correct with the assumption although a wage is better than not getting paid at all when you have bills to pay.

Apparently ojo was going to come back in January? There was a manager change I believe and it was cancelled. I swear I read this. I just want his player wages off our books. He's too expensive and back of the queue for spots as far as I am concerned.

If he does stay we need to just accept it else he could play like trash on purpose.

With respect how do we know what any of the players are on? It's not disclosed.

There's a joke there that he's not worth even a penny, but still.

I'd rather him go as well, if we needed a midfielder to step in I'd sooner call on the youth team players than the 6th choice CM on pro terms.

Loads of time yet for players to move on, which I think will be the focus now if we are to fine tune the squad any more.

Ojo wasn’t in Moore’s plans in League 2. Why would he suddenly be in Moore’s plans in League 1?

The myth that somehow League 1 is slower and more technical, and therefore better for more technical players, is somehow pervasive. It’s tripe. It isn’t true. It’s even quicker and stronger.

Croasdale is twice the player and character of Ojo.

I never said that league 1 was slower or more technical Joe, that is others assumptions. I said I believe that DM will use Ojo in the same role as Croasdale as he has a tendency to rotate players (presumably to reduce injury and keep all invested). My opinion, as that is all it is and this is after all a forum for opinions, is that while we also re-introduced Walters back into the team there is no reason not to support Ojo if he is reintroduced.

Two very different situations.

Walters a young lad led astray by his agent, ultimately looking for a move up the football pyramid. Which in reality, most of us would probably also do if we were in that situation.

Completely different to Ojo throwing his toys out of the pram when Crosby got sacked, and giving half arsed performances for the rest of the season when he was supposed to be one of our best players.

Interesting!😇

Theoretically possible BUT if we sign another player and you are sitting at the other end of the table you'd be gunning for a contribution to the wages. There are lots of 34 year old midfield players available for a free. Your first port of call would be Smallwood from Bradford.

I think the fact that he has back to back relegations on his cv now isn't helping but I don't like rotten apples I really just want him gone so his poor attitude doesn't rub off on anyone else, especially if we have a tough period. You never know, we paid money for loft and as  P.T. Barnum may have said "there's one born every minute" 🤞

If clubs are making decisions on a player based on that then there is something wrong with the way they are doing recruitment.

Just cause a club goes down (or multiple ones) doesn't make a particular player bad.

Ramsdale goes from 2nd in the league to worst team in the league, not suddenly a crap goalie.

Somebody would probably take Ojo but will also be a question of wages too. Into his final year with us isn't he? And so to move he probably wants a longer deal on almost the same money. Not difficult to see why it's less straight forward for him as a player.

Ojo has become the forgotten man .

Its up to him ,now if cannot get a loan move to buckle down like Walters did ,and start to prove those who do not rate you ,into rating you ...

Personally not in squad for NT and KA ,id say he is good as not in DMs plans .

Be interesting see if can get his career going again ,he did ok up until Devine /Arblaster left, then something changed in him, mind you it did in majority of squads mentality, as we become a easy to  beat team ,and gave up league 1 status far too easily ...

Like i say up to him .

Every player starts every new season with a clean slate so for example Plant could be ready to play his part, this campaign after his  loan to Yeovil last .

Personally all supporters want every player too improve ,as that surely will lead to a ok finishing position in league

Personally, I feel the decision should be left to DM, he has shown in the past that he is not going to carry passengers on a free ride. If he has sat down with Ojo and satisfied himself that there is a player in there, with a renewed attitude, then we should back his decision.

Of course it has a bearing just  like having players with promotion experience.

You’d be looking at the body language of a player when the going gets tough. That tells you more about the player than when things are good.

I don't think he is being forgotten he is memorable but for the wrong reasons. It isn't about whether he can play we all now he can play if he chooses to. The problem with him is mentality and the way he strolled about putting zero effort in while we surrendered our league one status will live long in the memory, for me at least.

If Ojo cant find another club, he can train with the kids. I have no interest in seeing him in a vale shirt ever again.

Seen that Rotherham have come to an agreement to terminate JCH contract. Would imagine he’d have a move already lined up to agree to it. Not sure I’d be bringing him in here as think he’s close to if not already washed up. Clearly Rotherham have made that assessment.

He left one of his previous clubs as he refused to train and play for the reserve side.
