I'd love to find someone of the quality of Curtis as a squad player.

I get he's on decent money but as per Joe's response about Croasdale I'd anticipate Curtis will start 25 plus games again.

Could be a surprise or 2 should a player become available who will improve us.

We have added well to the squad so far but arguably (to be seen GK,RWB) we haven’t improved the 11 yet this offseason.

I am quite enjoying the past week of complete and total boredom on the transfer front. We have managed to retain the players who we wanted to keep and have added players who will provide competition and depth to our existing core who on paper should hold their own in League One. I love that Moore seems to be so on it and it is so refreshing after the panic stricken transfer windows we have had in yesteryears.
 

For me the key now is holding onto our key players - Tolaj, Walters and Garrity. I would imagine Tolaj is the most at risk player we have of receiving a bid from another club. I would love us to keep him, if only for one more season. He just provides a constant goal threat. 
 

Another few weeks of boredom on the transfer front until the end of the window and I will be quite happy.

Moore clearly thinks Humphreys is an upgrade on Smith; time will tell.

Humphreys has played at an higher level than smith,that's all that needs saying,Smith is a great div 2 defender but not quite good enough for the higher leagues 🤔

Smith is a great defender.Sadly, that's not enough nowadays.

I also love my club Osh, I'm a season ticket holder, been supporting the club since 1958, I  buy the tops to help the club, I give the tops away at the end of every season, to unfortunate fans who can't afford to purchase them, the point I was making is that the club should be more upfront with fans to what's happening with there order, when initially they were told when ordering they would be delivered in 2or3 days.

I'm not blaming Puma, they can only deliver what's been ordered, by incompetent staff,  for under ordering in the first place.

Just think I feel! I ordered a coat stand in February (not from Vale) and was originally told delivery should be mid May, then late June, now they've said late July! My hallway is looking a bit bare and I'm having to hang my coats on the edge of my watdrobe!😀

I have no logic to this but I just have a hunch Marosi might well start at Rotherham. 

If that pans out we may well have Marosi, Gabriel and Humphreys as new starters. 

I think we are all craving the so called marquee signing.

Does Moore operate like that or are we very much going to see squad rotation. 

It was controversial last season ( mainly when on the 9 game slump ). But then there was more solidity with selection from February onwards.

And I know he played maybe 20 times but a fit and raring to go Byers would also be like a new signing. 

Two of our marquees last year Byers and Curtis both had a mixed bag of a season. I believe that both of those players will be very important this time around. 

The headache is how does DM accommodate Curtis in our formation. 

 

 

Yeah a key point is that, bar Hall and Croasdale, there weren’t many real regular last season.

The third highest minutes played was Debrah, who played 33 full games, and then Tolaj, who played 29.

I’m not fussed if we don’t get the marquee signing yet - would have wanted a striker for this but more likely we get another defender I think.

Another striker and we have too many unless we consider switching to play wide / wingers on occasion. That would at least accommodate plant and Curtis.

In division 2 he is a great defender but he proved he wasn't up to the task in league one 😁

I wonder if we could go for some of the lads from Sheffield Wednesday in 2 weeks. They will need a new club and some will have worked with dm
