How our business is taking shape, it feels like 9/10 of our best 11 from last year need to make a good step up to L1 or it's gonna be a long road to January. If they do make the step up it will look like a masterstroke.

Most would be expected to play in L1 if signed by a club bouncing back. Moore`s reputation at stake.

That’s our lot barring outgoings and loans I think. 
 

I’m happy with this squad. Did have a dream of Dipepa returning but that was always incredibly unlikely anyway. 
 

Can’t wait to kick off now.

The keeper was very highly rated at Shrewsbury and has decent league experience.  With regard to Waine, Forest signed a New Zealand international who was considered a complete donkey by his previous fans and he scored 20 goals last season in the Prem.  Let's wait and see, eh??

What aren’t you convinced by with Morasi?

Our best eleven in the run-in last season was far better than League 2.

We beat 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th after Christmas. We drew with 7th and 9th. 

Against Bradford, Walsall, and Wimbledon we looked miles better than the supposed best teams in the league. The Stockley-Tolaj partnership and three of Walters, Garrity, Croasdale, and Byers were dominating week after week. The only blip was a whipped up Carlisle scrapping for their lives, and we were a missed penalty from an away point.

It makes complete sense to keep it rolling. We’ve added real competition on the flanks and most likely upgraded at keeper. Continuity was the most sensible option this summer - we were playing at League 1 standards

We’ve now got a month to get pretty much the entire squad fit and ready.

As I’ve posted before on here, it’s all well and good to praise players when we sign, but mention anything not 100% positive and it’s a different story.

Keeper is decent, I’ve seen him a few times he’s a good keeper. My question on him signing is if he’s any better than Amos. For me it would have made sense to either go out and get a keeper who is better or a younger keeper as back up. 

Waine, of course I will wait and see, the same as Humphrey’s and Gabriel etc. For every Chris Wood there is a thousand Ryan Lofts. Look, he may be great and I certainly hope he is, but he struggled with Mansfield last season.

Decent keeper, similar level to Amos so I don’t really understand it. Rather either us try and get someone better or a younger keeper as back up, to me these two are quite similar. Time will tell

Can’t wait only recruit within the budget so for that next level might mean current first teamers have to move on. 
 

I would not pay too much attention to judging players at other teams we compete with; they don’t play the way Moore will have us set up so it’s a slightly unfair comparison. 
 

I have to trust Darren has a better eye for a player than raw statistics I can look up on the Google machine, otherwise I’ll go back to my Port Vale FM save game.

Strikers do appear to be at a premium this summer and you’d expect anyone to come in will be back up to Tolaj and Stockley. I am surprised with the Waine signing due to the fact we loaned out Paton last season and this lad doesn’t seem to be an upgrade on him.
