The Waine signing looks bizarre on paper. Mansfield fans think he's toss, 5 goals in English league competition. Still, at least he's young enough to get better, but compared to when Tolaj and Paton signed who was coming off the back of a great season for Aldershot and Queens park, I can't make this one make sense. 

So New Zealand and Grenada internationals.

Let's prepare for some cancellation of games. 

Think he’s the pacier type isn’t he? Will play the Hackford role this season?

We can’t sign anyone quick who wants to play regularly as they won’t play ahead of Tolaj. Their agents aren’t thick.

Some folk always struggle with the idea that you can’t sign 25 players who all expect to be first-choice. You’d end up with mutiny by September.

Probably another defender and a target man away from job done. Pretty impressive for June.

Can’t see Paton sticking around. It just hasn’t worked and that’s fine for lower league football. With Waine and Curtis he’s probably already 5th choice we even consider a target man.

Quite possibly. Can see that but I would have liked to see him getting a chance in a front two. But there you go.

Not convinced with either signing today personally. Don’t get the keeper signing and by all accounts Waine was pretty rubbish at Mansfield, wasn’t overly happy when I saw us linked with him previously  

I still think we’re short a couple of first team players. Both signings today look like squad players and for I imagine only Humphrey’s and Gabriel will be starters. 
Need some more more quality IMO.

True. But how many so far would actually be first team? I’d say 2. Need at least 1 more starter to sign. 

Another +1 for the NS save at Bury = best I've ever seen; was only watching some modern day classic saves on youtube the other day, and came away thinking "naaahhhhhhhhh"
