Best player in the division. 

I would like  to see us put a bid in for Rico. He's young and improving and has lots of potential. Not sure what his contract situation is at Villa but if he's available i would hope we could get him.

We deffo need a couple of defenders!

I would go along with that,still young with bags of potential imo and a player who could shine in League One if we went up

Is Finn Ashworth highly rated at Wolves? It is a strange one him coming here,i am wondering if he is being released and we wanted to take a look at him 

I will be amazed if we dont make a move for someone who has been a regular at sheff wed at some point if we go up

I know some on here are into non league football(i have a mate who scouts a lot of it) but are there any potential Gems like Tolaj out there

I think we most desperately need more depth in the front 2. It's been an achiles heal for a couple of seasons. We've got away with Tolaj and Stockley for most of this season.  We probably won't be as lucky again. Outside that we give the ball away too cheaply at times, which will be more of a problem in a higher league. We also need to add a little more pace. Not sure you can get away with both Garrity and Croasdale in midfield in league 1 as both have moments when their distribution let's them down. You definitely need one of them for pure energy and drive.

Can't see Lowe or Chislett getting new contracts.  Sang will be an interesting one. I think he has the potential to be a decent league 1 right centrehalf. On balance I think he'll probably be let go. 

Personally I'd try and keep Clark and Smith. Smith has had one indifferent season in 10 and we generally defend better when he's playing. 

I suspect they will try to move on Paton, Ojo and Heneghan.  

Plan B for when Big Ben's injured a priority for me.

Smith has been rock solid since getting back into the side and deserves a new contract. 

Who we recruit for next season will depend on what we are aiming to achieve. Do we aim to stabilise and grow or do we try and gatecrash our way to the Championship?

At the start of this season, Carol said that if we wanted to go up, we had to recruit players of L1 calibre. She was true to her word and our recruitment was light years ahead of what we’d seen previously. So the implication is that Championship ambitions will require yet another step change in recruitment.

Either way, we need to recruit some much better players than we have at present, taking nothing away from the fantastic achievements of our present squad. So, for me, we need a goalie, 3 centre-backs, two centre-mids, and two strikers - a tall order especially if we’re looking for quality players. Plenty to think about! 

PS just watching Wrexham v Charlton and the pace, quality on the ball and sheer aggression is just really something to see.

He’s the son of Dan Ashworth, who was technical director at West Brom before going on to Man U and Newcastle - so DM connection there. I’m guessing his loan was a friendly favour.

Totally agree with that. Stockley is getting older and has spells out injured. For me, we need cover for both. Paton may be the back-up for Tolaj but I think we need to bring in cover for Jayden (a physical presence perhaps via another dip into the non-league) as we definitely lose a lot upfront when Stockley isn't there.

On his performance last Monday how about a cheeky bid for Grimsby's keeper Eastwood? Commanded his box well I thought and that would be an asset to a three man back line.
