League one looks to be a tough league next year, a lot of big teams. Recruitment is going to be fascinating to see how we go about cementing ourselves in the league above.

As regards strengthing the side for next Season, I do think this is where Moore's good reputation will assist us. On top of the positives of our Owners, Facitlities, Fans etc. of course.

Keeping our wing backs fit. We’ve struggled losing John, Mitch and Headley throughout the season and all 3 have been excellent when fit. Mitch has been unbelievable since coming back and to think there was a worry his career would be over.

We can’t rely on Garrity as much and we need to look at the reasons why we don’t perform aswell when he isn’t in the side.
I think we will need to add real quality in the centre back positions and fully expect Carol to back Darren.

That stat about number of defeats is a little over used. There are a number of players in the squad with the same or fewer defeats per game than Ben. It was a massive advantage missing games over the pre Christmas and New Year period. A lot of out better players were all out and one or two were carrying knocks and probably shouldn't have been playing. When our first 11 have been fully fit I think this is the best 11 we've had post the Horton JPT trophy side, possibly the Sodje- Leon season.

Next year I think League 1 be more interesting than for a few years. A lot of teams with perennial 20000 plus gates are no longer there. Money bags Wrexham and potentially Stockport might not be there. There's also quite a few league 1 level of support clubs who'd had a few Championship seasons but have now stabilised at there base support; which will affect their finances.  Bolton will probably be the only club with 20000 plus gates. For a few seasons the top half a dozen sides have been Championship quality with Championship budgets.

Must admit I’m already looking forward scrolling through clubs players out of contract and think about realistic potential targets.

I think getting pace into the team is key.

A lot more goals are scored in L1 where the team manage to get in behind the opposition compared to L2.

Both Huddersfield and Wednesday have VERY old squads, which have been allowed to age without replacement.  I think the oldest players he signed last summer were 30 at the time. Wilks seems to have done OK at Rotherham.

I'm excited to see what non league players we can unearth this window. A couple more Tolaj's would be brilliant

On his performance last Monday how about a cheeky bid for Grimsby's keeper Eastwood? Commanded his box well I thought and that would be an asset to a three man back line.

He had a great game but at 28 he has played less than 70 games .... possibly due to being back up at Sheffield United maybe

I would like  to see us put a bid in for Rico. He's young and improving and has lots of potential. Not sure what his contract situation is at Villa but if he's available i would hope we could get him.

First bit of business I would do if I were Mr Moore.

The life of many a GK I think. Can have talent but those with can be hoovered up by higher end clubs as back ups and never play until they are released abd step down a level

GIVE SMUDGER HIS CONTRACT

And a shirt!🤣

Just noticed Barnet have scored 94 goals, and still have a game left. That's absolutely mental.

27 yo Gus Scott-Morriss from Southend might be worth a look, 17 goals and 5 assists this season. I'd say worth a look as Transfermarkt have him down as...a right back!

Alternatively 26 yo midfielder Josh Barrett at Aldershot has 16 goals and 2 assists in 37 games from CM/off the wing. The last player we bought from down there wunner too bad...

GIVE SMUDGER HIS CONTRACT

From when he couldn't get in the team i was 100% certain he would be let go BUT since he has got into the team he has shown why he should get offered something imo

Yes he was in that poor defence when we got relegated but a lot of the team was poor in reality,he could very well be fine in league one with better players in front of him and around him..... deserves a 2yr deal for me

Add Debrah and Clark to that as well for certain
