Port Vale v Barrow match thread - 25 March

Featured Replies

Barrow gave us a right pasting at their place, it now time to end the no wins for a Tuesday Night Home match.

It is a disappointing stats of not winning at Home in over 3 years!

Show the Players that previous match to remind them that we owe Barrow.

Expecting a hard game but hopefully 3 points.

Happily take a 1-0 win but scoring in the first half.

Barrow won at Notts C 3 games ago, are unbeaten in 4 and DO score goals !

They get the ball forward and into the oppositions box very quickly and they will not spend all night trying to perform the dark arts.

I have had to go hungry this weekend so not predicting a score.

What I will say though, if we win on Tuesday and break the Tuesday night hoodoo, against a good team like Barrow, then it’s automatic promotion for sure

Hopefully we should get an exciting and open free flowing home game for a change - im thinking a score draw - going for 2 -2,  and after all, when we stuff Crewe on Saturday, all will still be well 👍👍👍😁💜

Remember this is a 7 30 kick off, why I don't know, perhaps to confuse

Or maybe a little change might just bring a little change on Tuesday nights results

I just hope he doesn’t make to many changes Tuesday night

Barrow have only won 3 away games out of 19

According to Don's website their fans are saying they were never comfortable even when they went 2-0 up yesterday.

AFC Wimbledon have hit a very much sticky patch.

They are currently 16th in the form table based on the last 6 games.

We are currently 6th in the form table

Anyone know why we are kicking off at 7.30? Night games are always badly attended and having less time to get there from work doesn't make sense

We will have to improve on yesterday to win on Tuesday. We were hardly tested at all at the back and still managed to give ourselves some hairy moments, and again we looked toothless until Garrity came on. Perhaps toothless is harsh, but we lacked a cutting edge. Our build-up play and possession has been really good over the last few games. Obviously, we have to go into the game confidently and set up with attacking intent, but that extra bit of quality will be required. They are 4 unbeaten in the league and some would say they’ve got individuals that should see them easily in the top half. An early goal would be nice, because we often control the game well after we go ahead.

Smith in for Debrah in the centre. He looked at sea a couple of times I thought. I’d also rest Croasdale for Saturday and play Walters and Garrity together. There’s enough grit there between those two to break the play up without a primary enforcer.

Let’s rest them all 😂 I’d rather get the points on the board & focus on Crewe after Tuesday myself.

Break that Tuesday night hoodoo and win this, then it's game on for the title. 2 points behind Bradford, who let's face it, are probably favourites and we have to play them. Perhaps a good idea to do what Bradford did, and charge a fiver or a tenner to get in just for the Bradford game and try and fill the place. If we don't get excited now we never will.

COYMW. 👍👍👍

38 y/o Sam Foley in the back 3 yesterday. Get at them.
