Maybe because we get behind our team and Manager and support them when they are playing. Don’t think anyone wants us to fail, but doesn’t mean we agree with his tactics and the man in charge.

Good post , there's no point reasoning with Alan  he's a lost cause but good effort none the less , mate , As you were 👍😁

OK, let's hypothesise - you've got your wish, you're hereby appointed the fantasy new DOF at Port Vale.

It's the end of the 2024-25 season and Vale narrowly missed out on promotion.

Exactly what coherent and costed plan do you present to Carol as the way forward for the pre-season and 2025-26 season.

Please note the requirement to be >>coherent and costed<<.

The customary sweeping vagueness doesn't begin to suffice, let's hear your practical real-world plan, complete with potential names and costs for replacement of the full first-team management personnel.

Detail plan with costs😂😂😂

Do you know what Alan, if I was in charge I would have that in my back pocket as plan b if we don’t get promotion.

24 teams don’t see out to win promotion?  Each team has a different objective for the manager to be judged on.

Points 2/ & 3/ are irrelevant . A has to be judged on a manager on outcomes.

No promotion this season he has to go.

Your last sentence is a a joke right?

So you accept that you are just mindlessly mouthing off, and don’t have the slightest idea how to do anything practical and constructive for the club.

I’m struggling to fathom that after all the rubbish we have watched over the years and relegations that we have actual fans wanting the manager out now. And on every match thread the same people. We haven’t lost this year and it’s mid march near enough. The manager is looking like having at least 3 manager of the month awards this season. When did that last happen?

Because he is been backed more than any other manager since I’ve been following the Vale (37years). Don’t think many if any want him sacked now but questions should be asked if we don’t go up this season. It’s a fine line, get us up and he’s done a good job, if he doesn’t then this season and Moore have been a massive failure.

WTF are you on about?

The manager has to deliver. That’s it

I accept your not allowed to have different view than yours on the manager with out you wanting a business plan.😂😂

Phil, Do you have  your fully costed business plan with staffing and recruitment strategy for the next 3 years if we don’t get promoted.

Yep…..<ovf censored> Alan VIT off then we can all have our own opinion.

We’ve had 2 seasons before this of losing almost every week.
Total free fall.
It takes time to turn around a sinking ship.
Hes building an entire new squad. It takes time for them to gel.
If we go up this season, he’s done amazing (how are the other two relegated teams getting on? How many teams bounce straight back up?)

If we lose in the play offs, it is what it is. A lottery.
He has next season for me. Fail to get his promoted in 25/26 season then questions rightly asked. Not at the end of this season.
In my opinion anyway.

PS.. I’m no big fan of Moore. If he was sacked at the end of last season I wouldn’t have shed a tear. He was dreadful and failed to have any impact at all. Can’t argue with his record this season though.

For me it would hardly be an amazing achievement to take a squad that has been heavily backed by our great owners up.  Moore has received the kind of backing that no other manager has ever been lucky enough to receive in modern times.  We were by the bookies tipped to finish around 6th or 7th and most expert opinion by people in the know on all the podcasts who watch league 2 regularly, everyone was tipping us to be a top 3 team based on the signings we had made and the money spent on signings.  People keep saying that he's built an entire squad, maybe the case but this is the normal now in the lower league, every year teams in league 1 and league 2 will be making 13/14 signings, it it what happens, this year I think there was one club who made 4/5, everyone else was in double figure signings.  As I posted on another thread, the reason why I would make the change after the season finishes is not because of the results, it is the fact that the football is 90% of the time awful to watch.

You’d keep him if we fail to go up? Seriously? For what reason?

The football is dire and has been since he took over. His style is grinding out results but extremely dour on the eye. If we fail to go up I’m not sure what positive can be spun on it.

Big budget, big squad, a couple of big money signings and a fair few players clearly above this level. Has wasted our most talented players throughout until injuries fotved his hand. Look, I’m not a fan of him as manager at all; as it’s clear to all on here but even if I’d expect us to be going up this season and if not then someone else should have a go.

If we fail to make the play offs, he should go.

If we lose in the play offs, which is a total lottery, then he deserves another shot. IMO.

However, I still think we’ll get automatic

It’s the style for me that just sways it. Normally I’d agree, play offs are somewhat a lottery like you say, but the football on show is so poor I feel it should either be promotion or the door.

Fair enough. I can’t argue on the style of play. It is often very dour.
for me it’s results first, style second. But I do understand why people aren’t keen on him.
