I understand what you're saying. But let's be honest, he ain't going anywhere anytime soon. And tantrums on OVF are not going to influence that decision.

😆🤓Tantrums or common sense, opinions vary

I prey to God that he isn't here for the full 5 years of his contract as he has so little ambition. I don't want him gone this year as he will cost too much in compo, but sometime during his time here , the time to GO will come . If you and Alan are correct then he will be gone sooner rather than later due to a big club coming for him but I wont be holding my breath for that as bigger clubs have more ambition. I dont have many more years left at the Vale and I dont want to be bored to death year on year. And looking at the TV now I see we are capitulating at the Mighty Fleetwood again .  Another kick in the B8llocks by the lack of ambition .

Off the top off my head # A manager who like his teams to play on the front foot would be a start wouldn't  it 👍

Get rid the end of the season,

We can't do any worse can we

Everyone here knows that you are a closet Stokie trying to harm Vale.

You've tried and failed.

Please now clear off back to the Incinerator, where there is plenty of need for positive support rather than your noxious brand of underhand attempts at poisoning the waters here.

Alan- unfortunately a lot of us are getting a bit tired of your inability to see poor Vale football or anything that doesn't show Vale in your perceived Golden Glow. Just because its in a Vale shirt doesn't make it any better - its still poor . I suspect you are Carols son and are programmed never to say anything detrimental about the Vale - Well I'm sorry but I've been coming since 1958 and some of the stuff we've seen is as poor as I have seen,

Pensioner,

You speak for yourself alone, not for "a lot of us".

For the record, I have never met any of the Shanahan family nor have I ever met any of the current management of the club.

If you really do think "I've been coming since 1958 and some of the stuff we've seen is as poor as I have seen" then I can only suggest that you must have slept through periods like the mid-60s and the late 70s where we were consistently playing atrocious football near the bottom of the 4th division and we were regularly struggling to avoid having to seek re-election to the Football League (for finishing in the bottom four clubs of the 4th division for younger readers).

Or there is no need to go back nearly that far, what about the complete dross we recently endured in seasons 2017–18 and 2018-19?

We are now playing a world above that utter rubbish.

What annoys me, why I speak up, is the mindlessly destructive streak which runs through a section of the Vale support, the sense that if they just slag everything off hard enough then everything will magically get better.

It's nonsense and it can harm our club when we finally have really first-class owners.

I mean no offence at all to you personally, the above remarks are aimed more generally.

Please would provide your evidence for those two views?

There won't be evidence I doubt Alan.

As a mere mortal I'd be absolutely amazed if there is no get out clause for both Vale and Moore. Standard procedure in football.

Or if thats not the case did we pay Clarke his 5 year dues when we prematurely sacked him 🤔

You could just as easily be a Stoke fan, trying to persuade Vale fans that Moore is the answer and we need to give him the full 5.5 years but by then we will be broke and still playing 2nd division football and still learning lessons from each game.

Darren,

Well then we are agreed, both of us don't know in either case and we can only speculate.

WSU is usually one of the more rational posters on here, so I was a bit taken aback by his two categorical assertions.

The second assertion can only be a total guess, since no one, not even Carol or Darren, knows the answer yet to how long Darren will be our manager.

But there is not the slightest indication that either Carol or Darren wants Darren's tenure to end, and why would there be any such thought outside the feverish OVF bubble?

And unless WSU really does have some inside info about highly confidential PVFC documents, his first assertion can also only be a guess.
