Off topic slightly but can anyone remember Barnsley away a few years ago.

Wind was that bad that Vale fans weren't allowed in the away 'end' but moved to the side.

Johnny Brain couldn't even take goal kicks as the ball just wouldn't stay still long enough.

Couldn't take goal kicks when there was no wind to be fair !

Just heard safety officers been round and is happy atm so its leading to the refs call of weather its on or not 😀

If it’s down to Speedie it’ll be on 😂

Normal winds are part and parcel of it in this country but these are very strong winds with driving rain, not going to be fun to watch at all

Well obviously I’m talking about adverse winds not a normal windy day. Watching a ball come back at a keeper after he’s kicked it is no fun.

Liverpool / Everton postponed.

What's the latest weather situation up there please? Don't want to travel if there's a liklihood of postponement.  Any pointers gratefully received. Ta.

All games near the coast are one by one getting called off

Have played in worse conditions down Trubshaw Cross, ladsanddads in the mid-eighties! Short sleeves tops, no under armour!

Get it on! It's only a bit of wind and rain🤣

Wet and very windy, but H and S will probably be the issue

This will be an absolute farce if it goes ahead. Attendance down, ridiculous conditions, I don't like the club's approach on socials about this, lots of people are concerned and they're just brushing it off, at least do something other than say "business as usual" which sounds daft in a situation like this.

It will be on. Remember it’s on TV!

Rain due to ease from about 10am however that is when the real wind gets up. !

Knowing Speedie he will abandon the game at half time !

I remember in the 90s playing for Shelton bar up at Clayton and it was raining sideways, keeper nearly scored an own goal from a goal kick and some bugger had stolen the boiler from the changing rooms so only cold shower after...proper football

Is it actually that bad out there?
Or are we just going off the weather apps

It don’t look gale force to me trees hardly moving

Just arrived for hospitality and game on according to all staff.
