Port Vale v Walsall match thread - Dec 7th

I’ll be honest, I don’t fancy us tomorrow. We seem to have gone back to the team we saw at the start of the season. I actually think it could well be a repeat of the Doncaster game. I feel that we are still scratching around for a style of play and quite often are happy to cancel the game out for 75 mins before trying to win it in the last 15+. I really don’t like that approach, I think it sets the tone for the rest of the game and invariably doesn’t work as you only need one moment. The Arsenal-Man Utd was a classic example….one set piece and you could see straight away it was game over for Utd. We are the same (and yes, I know we snatched late points at Accie & Chelts but we were never likely to win once we went a goal down).

Finish work on Wolstanton retail park at 12.... normally walk it in 22 minutes. if a 63 year old can manage it in supposed bad conditions

Blimey; it takes this 82 year old longer than that to walk it from Longport Station. According to Google maps its a 50 minute walk from Wolstanton. I'm impressed...

You’ve got a point there. We’re not flush with goals at all , with few actual shots on target . I’m not expecting us to win 3-0 every week and romp to the title, but  we  don’t close out games in the first 80 mins , and despite being top  at this stage , I’ve got a feeling that we may go on a bad run at some point . All teams do , but we have the players to handle it , if it happens. Darren Moore is doing a fine job , but we need to start putting teams to the sword , and letting them know we are top for a reason. Starting tomorrow , hopefully. UTV

Alright, happily settle for a point me ducks👍😉

22 mins. ???    You can tell Del boy is in town.

Have you bought a new watch this week or do you nip out a bit early. Never miss you will they

Update not long back in from.work and picking lad up from Kidsgrove.

Bit windy nothing too drastic at 03.00 a.m .

Bring on the big game later they all big but it's always better if opposition bring a few 3000 well that's awesome 👌

I take a short cut under the d road, under the railway bridge and over the canal which brings you to middle port park, then straight up furlong lane to the carpark below Bull's Head. Quick and scenic!

I would take a draw right now. The way we have been playing lately, we will get tonked 4-1.

Lowe is bound to score at some point.

We all want nothing more than a win, but need to be realistic. I am have $50 on Vale not win and would be delighted never to see the $50 again.

It’s Walsall …and betting against the vale is flat wrong 😑

Betting against your own team is proper weird! I agree that I’d take a draw today but we certainly won’t lose 4-1. Could be a close game let’s hope it’s on 🙏🏻

Just stepped outside..

Doesn't seem that bad as the number 34 ferry to Newcastle as just floated past.
