Someone om Walsall forum claims that there will be a pitch inspection early tomorrow.

Considering the pitch has been covered all week with warm air blowers under the covers, I doubt there’ll be a problem with the pitch.

Pitch & rain won’t be an issue. It’s gonna come down to the wind & safety issues 🙏🏻

Winds at 90mph till 11am tomorrow, and will ease up then , but remain strong at 50 to 55.  Can’t play football in that can they?

Just arrived at  work so the wind can f off if I'm coming in early work on a job I probably wouldn't be on if started at 22.00 in preparation for  those brummies tomorrow .

Be on hopefully wind can come after the game.

Seems mild enough now .

Goooaaarrrnnn Vale

Do not postpone play if roof is coming off

3 big points incoming

The connections are beginning to form

Walsall fans think we're some big ugly team that just lumps it in. Saying that the conditions are likely to be a leveller, as though they're the significantly superior footballing team.

I'm unsure where they've got this impression from. We've got a couple of big lads but we're not massive as a team. We also mix it up and play some possession based stuff as well as more direct stuff. There's a reason we're top of the league, and it's not because we're 80s Wimbledon reincarnate.

I also love how they talk down of Burslem, yet Burslem is like the French Riviera in comparison to Walsall. I've got some customers around there and it's the biggest dump you'll ever see. In fact, you couldn't pay me to live anywhere around the black country. At least with Stoke it's surrounded by beautiful countryside. Walsall's outskirts are the M6 and the dump that is Birmingham.

Having said that, their keeper has looked very dodgy when I've seen him. Only 19 and looks weak in the air and a poor kicker. I imagine we'll target that.

I think it's because we don't play out from the back connor just launches it long most of the time. He will probably score tomorrow with this wind.

only thing thats going to ruin the game apart from a defeat tomorrow is the ref. absolute womble.

Or Walsalians, which I think is the correct term.

Speedie.

Remember Accrington at home a couple of years ago when we had the ball in the net after a handball on the line.

Ah yes , and he gave a penalty. It’s going to be an interesting afternoon , if it goes ahead, between him and the wind.
