Does anyone know when they're back from Wales? I'm hoping we do but can't see us getting anyone in while DM is out of the building.

Less than 3 weeks until Salford, I'm hoping we get that big commanding centre half in sooner rather than later so they can hit the ground running, ideally before we play Burton/Luton/Bolton etc where the patterns of play hopefully start emerging rather than just fitness orientated game time.

Seemed pretty quick. Quite a light build though.

He did but I don't think he was too bad in the challenge. Gibbo for instance, looked quite small and lightweight but could still put in a hefty challenge and I though this lad didn't shirk a tackle either. Although that's only on the evidence of 45 mins play mind...

Jason Talbot and, particularly,  Dean Stokes were not big. Both put in a strong tackle.

Slightly off topic, but in terms of players we've shipped out...

Uche is out for some time with an injury while Iacovitti only lasted nine mins on debut before needing replacing

Wilson played a pre-planned 30 mins for Northampton at the weekend.

Bradley Dack in talks with Gillingham .

He was great about 6 years ago. I wouldn't want us anywhere near him.

Dack would do more than a job in League two surely

From reading the runes it'll be Smith and Hall in the centre of defence at Salford and we'll play 4231. We haven't paid a fee for Hall not to play. Smith has been one of 3 Captains in preseason, so although he won't be club captain Moore still sees him as part the leadership group. I suspect Byers or Garrity will get the club captaincy.

Phil Bowers is there with them and said he was travelling back Wednesday afternoon,so at a guess its either Wed night or Thursday morning

Surely though if needs be Matt Hancock can tie up a player deal or if not then the player could travel to Wales I guess
